Synthetic meadow
The name is derived from Farsi and means the city/the garden of flowers. Andy got inspired by the Golestan Palace and the beauty of ancient Persia overall.

This perfume should create a feeling being surrounded by flowers. However, here I don’t get any floral note that would be familiar to me. It suppose to combine ylang ylang with tuberose, jasmin, damask rose and orange blossoms. I don’t get any of that, I rather sense a meadow full of blossoming wild flowers. There’s also a sense of something synthetic I cannot quite grasp and explain. To me, this meadow is human made, there is something unnatural to that. It’s not bad at all, but the smell is not photorealistic, you can compare it to Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle. This is the case where a synthetic smell is actually good and doesn’t make you weirded out. I also get a whiff of Tauer’s DNA here - it seems to be present in every creation, I’ve sampled so far which is a cool “easter egg” if you ask me.

Strong and overwhelming pungent florals
I'm greeted by an overwhelming bright, zesty citrus scent with a tinge of spices coming from the cinnamon. It's very strong and not as fruity as I thought it'd be. As soon as those citrus notes dissipate, the flowers appear. They're bold, pungent and very much not to my liking. Jasmine and tuberose are the notes that appear the strongest on my skin (unfortunately). Jasmine is powdery, indolic and floral while tuberose has that animalic quality I often dislike. It's also powdery and indolic. Both are very present on my skin. I barely get any orange blossoms or damask roses. After a while, I do end up getting some sort of confectionary, floral sweetness, but it doesn't last long. The drydown retains the powderiness from the white florals and there's some sweetness from the vanilla. I do get a bit of an earthy patchouli and some woody warmth.

It won't make it into my collection for two reasons. First thing: it's a pretty strong, pungent and overwhelmingly strong fragrance. It definitely has that Middle Eastern vibe to it which is not my style. Second thing: it has that animalic, powdery vibe I'm not a fan of. I think it's an aspect that's often present in a lot of Tauer's perfumes and might be something that just doesn't fit with my nose or my skin chemistry. Up until now, this brand hasn't vibed well with me, so take what you read here with a grain of salt. I know Tauer's perfumes are beloved by many and they might just not be for me!

Flower garden
Here comes my first review about one and only master perfumer Andy Tauer. Wow what a work of art is this man. I love all of the Tauer perfumes and i can’t believe the special scent that can be created by this guy, anyway about Golestan. If you are wondering what is this strange name ( like always with Tauer perfumes) this bottles are inspired by Golestan Palace in Tehran (Iran) and the beautiful architecture and the garden in the palace, Golestan means actually “FLOWER GARDEN” In Farsi.
Well about the smell this one is super floral i smell a lots of different kind flowers, rose, jasmine, tuberose and many more flowers this all mixed with some amber. Really very long lasting and a great silage, so i would say if you like Andy Tauer perfume’s and flowers, dont spray 2 mutch this is going to annoy other people around you. just go for this one its worth every penny,

Heavy floral, really pungent and extreme performance in my skin. This fills a room with ease however it may be polarising. Good quality.

Intensely white floral - tuberose looming over jasmine and ylang-ylang. An interesting dry, woody, resinous nuance is lurking somewhere.

A fresh, citrusy and spicy start. Followed by a heady, animalic, and pungent assortment of flowers. Takes a lot of space. Not for everyone.
