Synthetic meadow
The name is derived from Farsi and means the city/the garden of flowers. Andy got inspired by the Golestan Palace and the beauty of ancient Persia overall.
This perfume should create a feeling being surrounded by flowers. However, here I don’t get any floral note that would be familiar to me. It suppose to combine ylang ylang with tuberose, jasmin, damask rose and orange blossoms. I don’t get any of that, I rather sense a meadow full of blossoming wild flowers. There’s also a sense of something synthetic I cannot quite grasp and explain. To me, this meadow is human made, there is something unnatural to that. It’s not bad at all, but the smell is not photorealistic, you can compare it to Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle. This is the case where a synthetic smell is actually good and doesn’t make you weirded out. I also get a whiff of Tauer’s DNA here - it seems to be present in every creation, I’ve sampled so far which is a cool “easter egg” if you ask me.
