A Velvet Orchid Lumiere/TF fragrance twin? Maybe
"I liked "Peacock Throne" right away.
The scent is a wow! Starts with a sweet and at the same time very green liana juice - it looks almost gourmandig, so that you almost salivate in your mouth from this juicy sweet acid. And that although I can't get anything out of acid scents as a rule.
In this direction this great fragrance remains only for a while, only to drift in a much more flowery direction afterwards. Another wow! And then: "This looks very familiar to me now!"
Now I try to find out fiber-like in my thoughts which other fragrance the perfume resembles so strongly for me now. And find soon also an answer: that is yes a Duftzwilling of my beloved Velvet Orchid Lumiere of the Tom Ford, 1:1, above all in the skin test.
The perfume, like that of TF, is the embodiment of a symphony of sweet, nertar-rich, full blossom flowers (in this case rose, ylang, jasmine), spiced with lemon and accompanied by sandalwood and vanilla!
Difference to TF: on skin 1:1,
but on hair and paper the scent unfolds more citric echoes (Vetiver plays a greater role here). "Peacock" is less powerful than Tom Ford's "Orchid", has a much more withdrawn sillage and lower durability.
All in all: very good, but not original (apart from a more original beginning). Rather feminine, something for people for whom Tom Fords is too loud and too intrusive or who wish something in the direction of everyday suitability and office friendliness.
