Indescribable Indian Diamond
Patiala, the royal city, is known for the necklace of the Maharaja of Patiala, adorned with 2930 diamonds.
Like its name, the fragrance is also noble and rich. It radiates warmth and elegance.
At first, you get a light and subtle citrus note, for me, not a lemon cake. I also perceive the listed geranium slightly. The aldehydes keep the scent clean and pure.
The rose remains almost hidden, only in the background does it lend the fragrance a noble quality. Amber and orange blossom provide a delicate floral sweetness, while patchouli and moss ground Patiala and give it spice. Overall, all the fragrance notes are perfectly intertwined, so I can't really sniff them out individually.
Patiala is something special, as no other fragrance smells like it.
For me, it has vibes of a luxurious, creamy bath foam from the 80s.
I find the scent absolutely unisex. My husband thinks it's masculine, but he tends to lean more towards vanilla and gourmand fragrances himself. So, there are again very different perceptions here.
The sillage seems quite good at first; I was noticed.
The longevity is a good average.
After a first test in a perfumery in Salzburg, I brought home a 10ml travel size. For me, the right choice, as I probably won't wear it daily, even though I like it.
