A rose for a night out to an opera or a theater show
To me this is not Delina or one of her flankers. This is a rose fragrance for a grownup, it doesn't have a fresh, youthfulness to it. I'd see a woman heading to an opera or a theater show, dressed in an elegant and sophisticated black dress with understated, "quiet luxury" jewelry.

Much of this fragrance screams Damask rose to my nose. Sweet, carnal, a bit on the heavier side. Somewhere in there, I did start getting some resinous, almost incense-like accord (from the myrrh?), but most of the other notes were absent on my skin. Drydown is still rose, but there's a warm powderiness that's coming through with a deepening sweetness.

It's a nice, elevated and classy fragrance for a grown up. I didn't like how the Damask rose took up all the place and never let the other ntoes breathe. Since I'm not a fan of smelling like a rose and powdery accords, this won't be making it into my collection, although I'm still happy I got to test it out. One of the lovely offerings from my Scent Xplore box!

Deconstructed
Today I feel creatively uninspired, the kiss of the muse unfortunately did not come. However, since I would still like to dedicate a review to Peregrina, I will try to provide more information than literary merit.
This actually fits quite well - I tend to analyze, interpret, dissect, and break everything down in great detail.

In private life: rather poorly.
In studies: somewhat more helpful
Here? We shall see!

I will systematically go through all the fragrance notes and compare them as best as I can with reference scents, if possible.

Top Note
The top note of Peregrina starts off very floral sweet. The rose is unmistakable, has a certain freshness, and actually reminds me a bit of the rose in Oud Satin Mood Eau de Parfum - but really only the rose! Otherwise, the two fragrances differ fundamentally. This radiant, not overly sugary sweetness appeals to those who prefer sweeter scents, but does not scare off anyone who does not like sugary. The other white flowers I can only vaguely recognize; they provide a certain vintage vibe, but I can't quite pinpoint them.

Heart Note
It takes some time for Peregrina to transition to the heart note. The top note lasts surprisingly long on me, or the transition is so seamless that I hardly notice it. The main players here are clearly Ylang Ylang and a bright myrrh, which together with the already described rose form a trio. I do not perceive the scent as smoky at all; even Delina Exclusif seems smokier on me (and it is hardly smoky). The Ylang Ylang provides a certain "sunshine" and richness, which is later diffused by the base. The caramel briefly evokes sugary associations that, together with the Ylang Ylang, remind me a bit of "Ylang in Gold (Eau de Parfum) | M. Micallef." There is a slight tingling in the nose here; somehow the heart note is a bit wild - whether that is good or bad, one should decide for themselves. I like this "excited" and playful aspect.

Base
In the base, Peregrina finally becomes a bit airier again. The powder prevents the scent from becoming too creamy-floral (like Delina Exclusif), and the amber makes it darker, heavier, and more suitable for the evening. I would have clearly associated Peregrina with spring and daytime in the heart note - here it manages to bridge into the cooler, darker autumn evening.

All in all, I really like this new discovery!
It fits into my current preference for sweet-rosy fragrances, while simultaneously bridging to something deeper and sexier. The Ylang Ylang even makes it somewhat exotic and wearable even on a warm summer evening - best for a nice date ;-)
All of this with solid longevity and a room-filling scent aura - a wish candidate!

Attempt number 2!
After I was anything but enthusiastic about the first test of Peregrina, having completely dismissed the scent as musty and disgusting, I was able to test it again thanks to a wonderful perfume here (Thanks again!️). Or should I say "she"?

Apparently, my first sample was somehow not good or old. But the second one, yes, that was something completely different!

Peregrina is noble rose tea, sweetened with honey and accompanied by caramel candies.

It remains sweet yet close to the skin, so the scent does not become overpowering or cause headaches. Wonderful for a date or a special day/evening. I would also say it is very extraordinary and something you don't smell on every corner.

I'm sorry, Peregrina, I hope you can forgive me!

Where do I know you from?..
Most people compare Peregrina to Delina Exclusif, but for me, the scent is the sister of Oud Bouquet by Lancome. They definitely share the same DNA.

Both fragrances have a prominent rose, floral notes, and a defining sweetness, only in one fragrance it is praline and in the other - caramel. Both scents have something animalistic, cling tightly to the skin, and have strong sillage. Both are seductive and sexy, yet also elegant, both are addictive.

I am curious if anyone besides me feels the similarity between the two fragrances or if it's just me.

The big adult sister of Delina Exclusif… I only see pink…
Unfortunately, the scent was a blind buy. I never buy fragrances blindly, but there were silly reasons for it. I had received a voucher for this one perfumery where I usually find many of my beloved scents. The fragrance I wanted was, of course, not available, and other favorites of mine were also out of stock. Great, just great️. So, what does Connie do when she really wants to redeem her voucher and none of her favorite perfumes are available? In her desperation, she picks a scent that is labeled as “amazing, breathtaking, irresistible, and so on” by the media and YouTube. The fragrance, which is indeed very, very beautifully feminine, warm, and of really high quality, and also smells stunning, is unfortunately not for me, not at all. It just doesn’t suit me.. I already have difficulties with rose. Rose can work very well for me, but only if it’s a very spicy rose and not one of those powdery, hyper-feminine roses, as is the case with Peregrina.

The scent bears a strong resemblance to Delina Exclusif, just in a muted, softer, and slightly smokier version. The Damask rose dominates a lot and makes the fragrance hyper-feminine and a bit powdery for me. I only see the color pink.. In the drydown, I smell almost only Delina Exclusif with a touch more spice, warmth, and smoke from myrrh and amber. Vanilla rounds the fragrance out and makes it sweeter and, fortunately, less loud and squeaky than Delina Exclusif, otherwise the similarity is great.

Those who celebrate the Delina line and are looking for a flanker that is more adult, smokier, but also softer and warmer will love Peregrina. Those who can’t stand all the Delinas, like me, will most likely not like Peregrina.

Longevity on my skin is good, sillage is moderate. I really can’t understand how some YouTubers describe the scent as room-filling.‍️ For me, it’s moderate to good in that regard. The bottle is very high quality..

Predominant rose, a bit airy and jammy. The scent is sweet, spicy, leaning feminine. A powdery vanilla in the heart. The drydown is sweeter

rose, lily of the valley and amber. Immediately the association is that this is a scent for an older lady.

Strong damask rose scent with some supporting myrrh and warm, powdery musky drydown. It's nice, but it's missing that balance.

Good rose and sweet combo while very well balanced. No harsh, no chemical. All smell is natural. Trust me, Rose Lover should try this one.

A rose & white flower bouquet dripping in deliciously creamy caramel, grounded by a soft powdery amber base. Dries to musky rose skin scent.

Opening is very much Intense Cafe dupe, but Peregrina settles into a fluffy/musky rose-driven floral w/ a lot less sweetness. Feminine.

this is not Delina. This is sweet rose in a long dress on a date at the Opera. Not super unique but so beautiful. Feminine. cold weather
