Freedom to smell, freedom to think, freedom to talk about Star Wars without leaving!
Hello, my dear snoopers and welcome to my comment on "Liberty". The fragrance is from "The Merchant Of Venice", which is an insider's tip brand of mine, in case you don't know it yet, as they have really nice fragrances to offer, which also come in pretty great flacons.
Liberty means freedom and you think of one of two things. Either the State of Liberty comes into your mind, the Statue of Liberty, which is standing in New York, or you could also think of all the idiots in the Corona Crisis, especially here in Germany, who see even such simple things like wearing a mask as a massive cut in their freedom and consider Germany as an autocratic country like China, although you only think of the health of ALL people here... argh :DD
Anyway, let's not talk about Corona, let's talk about better things. While I'd probably be interested in Star Wars and comics again (not to mention Batman, Supergirl, Power Girl äh,... and so on and oh man, I haven't even started watching the second season of The Mandalorian yet!!!...), you'll probably be more attracted to scents, so I'll have to write about one again... which reminds me what I'm doing here on Parfumo, if I think so...? :DD
I should really think about leaving here, so please be nice to me, even if I should bitch about ladies, mu ha ha ha ha ha :DD
Good, now for the... scent!
A little later a slight sweetness comes through, that's the amber. More noticeable and more intense, however, is the leather, which now rises. It smells of soft and slightly tangy suede. By the way, suede and amber are a nice combination, but you can still smell the vetiver-like scent. The vetiver note and especially the suede scent remain unchanged for quite a while, really several hours.
Only in the late base the amber becomes a bit more intense, or at least appears more intense, because then you perceive the earthy scents as well as the suede much less. So the end is quite warm and sweetish and smells quite nice, but then it is unfortunately also quite close to the body.
The bottle! In my opinion, the bottles of the Merchant fragrances are all small works of art and look very beautiful. This one looks like a dark blue (but transparent) vase with golden patterns. The lid is gold plated and has the shape of a semicircle, which makes it look like a lamp (or even a big button). In any case, as I said, the bottle is very beautiful.
The fragrance itself is absolutely unisex and good to use in autumn, although it is more of a daytime or work scent, as it is not spectacular enough to go out now. You just smell nice, but nothing more. This is not necessarily bad, but a little bit banal.
Well, there's nothing more to say about the smell. A test is not really necessary now, unless you like suede and vetiver/patchouli. Everyone else can have a look at the other The Merchant scents, as I said, it's worth to have a look at most of them :)
Well then, have a nice evening, stay healthy and see you next time :)

Good, now for the... scent!
The smell:
I smell green notes at the beginning, then something herbaceous, which is probably a mix of saffron and thyme, as well as light, earthy notes that come across as vetiver. This earthy note might be the beginning of the patchouli I mentioned, but as I said, it clearly smells like vetiver to me at the moment. A little later a slight sweetness comes through, that's the amber. More noticeable and more intense, however, is the leather, which now rises. It smells of soft and slightly tangy suede. By the way, suede and amber are a nice combination, but you can still smell the vetiver-like scent. The Sillage and the durability:
The Sillage is okay, not a cracker, but still good enough to smell the scent without getting too close. It has a shelf life of more than twelve hours, although it hardly radiates properly at this late stage.
Conclusion:
Soo her sniffers, my impression about this scent is quite positive, but I would like to note that this is not a particularly outstanding scent of The Merchant Of Venice, because especially in the long middle part it smells a bit too unsweet and too earthy to me personally. This makes it look quite mature and makes it suitable for all those who like more earthy scents like vetiver or patchouli, are not necessarily averse to suede and want to wear scents that don't smell too sweet. Because sweetish is not so much a fragrance here for a while. Only in the base the amber comes through well, so the scent really smells sweeter, but then with a rather low sillage. The fragrance itself is absolutely unisex and good to use in autumn, although it is more of a daytime or work scent, as it is not spectacular enough to go out now. You just smell nice, but nothing more. This is not necessarily bad, but a little bit banal.
