The beauty that looks out to the sea?
As a confessed Terenzi lover, I must also bring out the negative side here...
So far, I have liked all the fragrances I have tested from this brand. I haven't gone through all the scents yet, especially not at these prices, but a certain fondness for this brand is hard to deny.
However, I cannot quite understand what this fragrance is supposed to do, and I solidarize with a number of rather negative reviews.
It is not uncommon to find that Terenzi does not feature all the fragrance components listed in the pyramid, and this becomes particularly evident here, in an unpleasant way.
Tyrenum, whose name is inspired by the city of Apulia, which is now called Trani (formerly Tyrenum).
The city of Trani is known by the saying "the beauty that looks out to the sea".
The reason for this is the orientation of all monumental works, which are consistently directed towards the sea and occasionally reflect in it.
The beautiful image cannot be captured or preserved by the fragrance in any way.
The feeling of a coastal scent, which one presumably wanted to achieve with the limestone, does not materialize. I do not perceive any real minerality.
Instead, one receives an overly sweet, artificially appearing, poorly balanced, and hardly discernible freshness that is supposed to resemble an ocean, more like a puddle.
In a statement, it says that bergamot beats caramel; I would express it similarly, just the other way around. Caramel beats bergamot.
And not a fine, gourmand caramel, no. Rather a sweet slush that splatters an almost indefinable, synthetic, and uncharming sweetness.
I rarely make comparisons, but this cloud of scent could also be found on the lower shelves of a drugstore.
As it develops, a bit of salt joins in, quiet maritime notes.
Bringing that into harmony with the sweetness is not so easy.
Longevity and sillage are in the moderate middle range. However, there was not much interest in letting it linger on me longer.
Terenzi? You can do much better!
