Is it just a dupe?
I'm wearing a sweater right now that still smells like burdèl, had it sprayed on my wrist a few days before to test it like so often :) and compare it to other scents.
Opening.
Shortly after spraying it smells more wonderful than almost anything else. Bergamot, fresh spices something cool and in the background the woody notes. It reminds one already slightly of "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Perfume) | XerJoff" the oud remains woody, dry, clean and never goes in a stale or dirty direction.
The opening is the most beautiful part for me.
An even 10.
The rest of the course.
The freshness and fruitiness goes slowly more and more in the background and the woody notes come to light. However, one has Burdèl always this fresh bergamot in the duft course, at least at me. And exactly this distinguishes it also from "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (perfume) | XerJoff"
Together with vanilla comes a slight sweetness to it, but wonderfully done. Very elegant, and yet sexy. Yet never pushy or too much of a good thing, although the performance is really convincing. The delicious lemon cake already hits it, as many describe it.
This perfume is almost perfectly balanced.
A 9
Drydown
In the drydown, it changes only marginally. He remains woody, slightly fruity, sweet and above all sexy. He radiates something that I find very attractive and erotic. Especially in drydown.
One smells again and again on the arm, so at least me it goes so :)
Conclusion.
Burdèl reminds one really clearly of "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (perfume) | XerJoff"
(Provided of course you know the XerJoff) :D
However, you wear both simultaneously, so you also recognize the differences better.
For me, it is more masculine, fruity and fresh, so it also has that certain extra that I was missing with AlexII.
It is not a dupe, rather a new interpretation or further development. I do not mind it, am of course more than satisfied with it, as you could see from my review :)
The XerJoff is a wonderful perfume. And I love the scent. Nevertheless, TT with Burdel has managed to improve an almost perfect fragrance even more. Since I personally exactly that has been missing with Alex.
If you own Alex you need now but not run to buy Burdel. You have with Alex a unisex classic that will always be special.
People who didn't like AlexII won't like Burdel either. They're too similar for that.
The bottle is beautiful, the sprayer average, the presentation excellent.
The price on offer unbeatable. (Please do not pay 390€ for it)
Performance far above average.
Almost all year wearable.
Thanks for reading
