Is it really just a dupe?
I'm currently wearing a sweater that still smells of burdèl; I sprayed it on my wrist 3 days ago to compare or test 2 or 3 fragrances, as I often do :) And the perfume is still very noticeable on the sweater. I do this from time to time with all kinds of scents and samples I have.

But how does Burdèl smell?

Opening.

Shortly after spraying, it smells as wonderful as hardly anything else. Bergamot, fresh spices, a bit cool, lightly sweet, and in the background, those woody notes. It already strongly reminds me of "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff"; the oud remains woody, dry, clean, and never goes in a barn-like or dirty direction. Thus, even oud newcomers will enjoy this scent. You immediately notice the high concentration of the perfume; it leaves an oily film on the skin.

The opening is, for me, the most beautiful part.

A solid 10.

The further development.

The freshness and fruitiness slowly fade into the background, and the woody and spicy notes come to the forefront. However, Burdèl always has this fresh bergamot in the scent development, at least on me. And this is exactly what distinguishes it from "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff".
Together with vanilla, a slight sweetness comes in, but it's beautifully done. Very elegant, yet sexy. Never intrusive or too much of a good thing, although the performance is truly convincing. The delicious lemon cake description fits it well, as many describe.

This perfume is almost perfectly balanced.

A 9

Drydown

In the drydown, it only changes marginally. It remains woody, slightly fruity, sweet, and above all, sexy. It radiates something that I find very attractive and erotic, especially in the drydown.
You keep smelling your arm; at least, that's how it is for me :) It could be the cardamom with vanilla and the oud that makes it so delicious.

Conclusion.

Burdèl clearly reminds one of "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff"
(provided, of course, you know the XerJoff) :D

However, wearing both simultaneously allows you to recognize the differences better.
For me, it is more masculine, fruitier, and fresher, thus having that certain extra that I felt was missing in AlexII.
It is not a dupe, but rather a new interpretation or further development. The similarity doesn’t bother me; I am, of course, more than satisfied with it, as you can gather from my review :)

The XerJoff is a wonderful perfume. And I love the scent. Nevertheless, TT has managed to improve an almost perfect scent with Burdèl. Personally, that was exactly what I felt was missing in Alex.

If you own Alex, you don’t need to rush out to buy Burdèl. With Alex, you have a unisex classic that will always be special.
People who didn’t like AlexII will also not like Burdèl. They are too similar.

The bottle is beautiful, the sprayer average, the presentation excellent.
The price on sale is unbeatable. (Please don’t pay €390 for it)

Performance well above average.
Almost wearable all year round; in too warm temperatures, I would recommend something else.

Unisex - masculine.
Age from 25 - XX
Disco, bar, restaurant, or whatever. Almost always wearable.

For sports or grocery shopping, it is too fine and special; better to take something lighter and cheaper for that :)

It will probably never become as popular as "Oud Stars - Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff", but those who can discover it will certainly not regret it :)

Thank you for reading

Best regards, Deniz

A fantastic scent with a very awkward name…
I want to address the headline right away as a preface. The word Burdel unfortunately means brothel in Polish. Although the perfume has an accent on the E, I still find the name poorly chosen and it surely has led to some strange looks from certain people.

Burdèl was a blind buy for me, as there are simply no decants of Burdèl available in the Souk, and it is truly difficult to find a decant or sample of Burdèl otherwise. The packaging is, as is typical for the Anniversary Collection, very lavishly designed; whether that is necessary, I doubt, especially since the lettering on my packaging was already peeling off a bit. These huge packages lead to a completely different problem for me. I’m slowly running out of space for all these large Tiziana Terenzi packages.

But I’ve bored you long enough, and it’s finally time to talk about the scent. Burdèl is truly exceptional. Everyone knows the usual bergamot or citrus top notes, which we have all probably smelled countless times. Burdèl combines the bergamot note with a hefty dose of spices. I particularly like the Syrian cumin combined with cardamom. The top note is absolutely unique and perfectly combines freshness with spices. As it develops, the spices increasingly take the lead. However, after about 1 hour, a gentle oud note also comes into play, which brings a bit of sweetness through amber and vanilla. This combination makes Burdèl suitable for people who do not like oud. I cannot really recognize the notes of the heart; Burdèl rather makes a leap from the top note to the base note.

The performance is really very good; I could still perceive Burdèl even after over 14 hours, and the sillage remains detectable at arm's length for 7-8 hours.

For me, Burdèl is definitely wearable even in higher temperatures, making it perfect for all seasons and never annoying, except perhaps at temperatures above 25 degrees.

High-Quality Alternative to Alexandria II
I definitely need to write a review for this beauty: the Burdèl from the Anniversari collection by Tiziana Terenzi. Even though it is rated very highly, it always stands in the shadow of the hype surrounding Xerjoff. Competing with Xerjoff is already difficult given this hype, especially since the Tiziana Terenzi brand receives quite a bit of hate. Not everyone can handle the signature of this brand, but I like it.
If you don't fixate on "Alexandria II (Parfum) | XerJoff," you can save quite a bit of money here. The MSRP of the Burdèl is also €400, but you can already get it for around €170 for 100ml. Supply and demand dictate the prices. In my opinion, this fragrance is a perfect alternative that even has some advantages, such as the slightly fresh undertone that makes it easier to wear.

What surprises is the packaging: you get a huge box. It definitely justifies the MSRP of €400. The LED light that turns on when you open the packaging is impressive. This light shines on the golden decoration on the cap. I'm thrilled. Even if it probably looks more expensive than it is: I call this decadent and original. A clear 10/10 for this packaging, and the bottle is also very pretty in black and gold.
As I said: Anyone looking for a top alternative to Alexandria II will not be disappointed. It's not 1:1, but I can't pick a favorite between the two as both have their advantages. The Alex II is, of course, a bit more beast mode and significantly more oriental, while this Burdèl has an Italian charm with a hint of citrus.
Right in the top note, you immediately get the Alexandria II DNA. This fragrance twin is certainly recognizable but feels lighter and more citrusy from the start. This scent can be worn more easily in everyday life than its twin. Cumin and a wonderful citrus creaminess are present from the start. It's kept quite fresh, yet has this slightly heavier spice blend. Wood and balsamic notes also come in early, making this fragrance very elegant and lovable. The Laotian oud is shared by both Xerjoff and Terenzi. A pleasant oud note that is anything but barn-like. From start to finish, it is extremely pleasing without being too ordinary. Those who like the Alex II vibes will most likely love this one as well. The base is also beautiful with soft wood, some delicate musk, and a lot of sensual sweetness. A well-rounded composition.
Performance is good but doesn't match Xerjoff. That's not a problem since Xerjoff is already the ultimate. Here you get a fragrance that theoretically can also be worn in everyday situations if the occasion allows. The sillage is pleasant, longevity is top-notch, and in the double-digit range.

This review has already involved quite a bit of comparison, especially since this fragrance is likely sought after by those looking for a more affordable alternative. This is by no means a cheaper knockoff but has a lot of individuality, especially due to this citrusy start. Both fragrances are worth it for me. With Alexandria II, I only managed to get the 30ml travel version, where for that price you almost get the 100ml here. Definitely worth checking out. In any case, a fragrance with a lot of sex appeal for both ladies and gentlemen.

Budél - i love it!
Read a lot and in the end tested it myself!
I agree with all the comments here, especially the positive ones.
- Alexandria 2 Dupe? No
- A completely reinvented scent? No
For me, it’s more of a better, fresher, and more summery interpretation of Alexandria 2.
It’s 7:30, I’m sitting at my desk, drinking coffee, and trying to find a fitting description for the scent, and I keep coming back to Alexandria 2 because it lingers in my nose.
I briefly smelled it on my wrist and realized: it’s not just this scent, there’s so much more behind it.
Close to the body, I perceive much, much more than just the oriental-spicy and woody notes.
It’s fresh, slightly minty, simply fabulous!

When Alexander Wasn't Big Yet…
…he wore Vans, baggy jeans, a hoodie, and a backpack. But since it was already clear that he would one day become a "big" guy, he would hang his shirt and blazer outside for some fresh air before leaving the house and polish his Derbies to a high shine for one of the events that were becoming more frequent in the evening. Since the boy Alex doesn’t want to spend too much time and energy on a wide fragrance wardrobe, he recently decided on Terenzi's Burdel.
Because it starts youthful, citrusy, fresh, and cheeky, even sporty; only to later develop into a mature, woody-oriental masterpiece that subtly yet unmistakably makes its alpha ambitions clear to everyone in the room!

At some point, when Alexander has stood up to his full height, another fragrance will take the place of this one.
And this story will then also be worth a short narrative and record. And how it will be!
Until then…..

Akin to Alexandria II, but in my opinion better, while cheaper! A stunning opening, gets a bit challenging during drydown (sweaty cumin).

Alex II with a bit of lemon in the opening - otherwise little to no difference. A little lighter in the air, so also something for spring

The concept of merging light and dark. One of the most beautiful symbioses between Italian lightness and oriental elegance.

In the first minute, a light citrus note that quickly fades away. Then, it's quite similar to Alexandria II & III.
H/S is just as good.

Not as unique as it claims to be, after a great citrus start it turns into a true twin of Alexandria II.

A bright, crisp opening leads into sweetly-oriental woods
At its heart is AlexII, but it lacks the deep magic of seduction.

Beautiful A2 interpretation. Brightened by citrus, the sweetness toned down. Cinnamon goes, cumin comes. Spicier! H/S less in your face! Like!

After many tests:
Alex2 - too expensive
Shouq - too rosy floral
Beyond the Wall - too much ginger powder
Burdél - perfect for me!
