Soleil Neige is a fragrance of radiant beauty.

From the very first moments, it unveils a sense of purity and softness, with an airy burst of bergamot, orange blossom, and vanilla. It’s both powdery and creamy, pure and sensual, leaving a gentle and light impression.

Tom Ford The old fashioned way

So, what can I say. When you're as "crazy" or rather "obsessed" as I am, you sometimes think: "Oh, I'll make a blind purchase." After all, I could sell the fragrance again if I don't like it. Then your mind starts to trick you with all kinds of reasons and makes you believe that it was a good decision and a worthwhile purchase. Perhaps this also explains the many 9 ratings here. :) - ultimately, as always - "greed eats reason".

If I were to give this fragrance a 9, I would have to have quite a few 10s in my collection. But in my subjective perception, that is definitely not the case here.

Tom Ford remains true to his old style here: what is successful is reissued and sold at extremely high prices. But well done this time, I would say.

The perfume version of Soleil Neige begins with one of the most beautiful openings I have ever experienced - a wonderfully balanced blend of mandarin (a fresh and juicy mandarin), orange and bergamot. Unfortunately, this dreamy opening fades after a few minutes and the floral notes come into play. From this point on, the fragrance is strongly reminiscent of "Masculine Pluriel" or at least has some parallels to "Lavender Extrême". That's also a good thing! How I rate it for myself - I personally attach great importance to a harmonious balance of the components, and here everything seems round and balanced. No note trumps the other. (Just for the record, in case anyone is reading along!)

Unfortunately, some of the magic is lost in the drydown, but it still remains appealing.

But in my opinion, the fragrance does not justify the high price - I would rather go for MFK. Nevertheless, it is worth a test.

The silage is okay, rather close to the skin up to about one meter. So not a beast. The vanilla and amber are subtle but perceptible in the drydown and round off the fragrance pleasantly.

My conclusion: An expensive, typically Tom Ford-like bloated fragrance. The opening is great, no question, and overall the fragrance is a success. Nevertheless, it lacks that certain something to make it truly spectacular.
