It "sounds" (and smells ) quite good...

In the latest times the Italian brand Trussardi launched and re-launched many fragrances, maybe a little similar between them.
The new entry is "sound of Donna" (sound of Woman) , a sort of new gourmand and psychedelical version of the more classic and "ladylike"Donna.
I was attracted by the pink bottle with the guitar -shaped charm . I like music and and it seemed funny to me.
So, I sprayed the scent: a flowery- fruity opening accord delighted my nose to leave the place after a few seconds to a very feminin and vibrant tuberose, the main actress of this composition. At the base i smelled something sweet and gourmand but it seemed a little bit synthetic and only now I see in the pyramid that it's a very particular "Mont blanc accord". I know that the Mont Blanc is a typical winter dessert made of marrons glacés and whipped cream. What a strange note for a flowery-based fragrance! Anyway, I like gourmand notes and it seemed to me quite pleasant.
The sillage is good , as well as the longevity. The price is a little high , but in comparison with Others recent scents of this brands, this time you don't waste money for nothing.
This fragrance could be worn by the modern girls of all ages who like the music and who's looking for a scent as vibrant and particular as a psychedelic rock tune

If only it were called "Sound of woman" - but "Sound of Donna" - personally, I don't like these forced English-Italian sounding names. Who is this Donna? "Donna" as in "woman" - so Italian and universally applicable? Or is it supposed to be a female first name (which does exist)?
And "Sound" as in noise? Or generally the "sound"?
As arbitrary and vague as its name, the fragrance comes across as banal and "heard it a thousand times."
The musical hints could be highlighted by the cardboard sample I received yesterday.
The "Introduction" is said to consist of mandarin, green almonds, and green apple. Then, in the "Chorus" (that's really what it's called at Trussardi), supposedly heliotrope, white tuberose, and rose follow.
The finale consists of sandalwood, patchouli - and now - brand new - a "Mont-Blanc accord."
But what is a "Mont-Blanc accord"? In the photo, I think I recognize a dessert, at least not a mountain peak, but a white cap on a dark coconut shell (could also be something else....).
The direction is therefore, despite the supposedly new sound and the "Mont-Blanc accord," once again the usual, well-sellable: "Sound of Donna" is a gourmand fruity patchouli, just like there have been countless times before.
Here, the omnipresent genre presents itself with diffuse floral notes and a slightly creamy vanilla base, which is actually positive, as you can't smell such an extremely synthetic sandalwood.
"Sound of Donna" (...why not "Donna's Sound"?) comes in Telekom magenta look - is this the new fashion color for the winter season 18/19? I usually prefer Italian design (and many other Trussardi fragrances as well, especially the unforgettable old 80s perfumes).

My Baby just cares for me

Ur Donna was my first self-purchased fragrance - and I wore it with pride because I felt so "grown-up."

Yes, at 20 you like to add a few years to your age - because you don't want to come across as a novice.

I have to smile at my ideas and views from back then nowadays - but not only I, the world has changed too.

I found the white Donna pleasantly unconventional at the time - yet still stylish and classy.

But if the purple version had existed back then - I would have reached for it too.

This round smoothness is indeed very appealing.
Maybe it suits me better now in my more mature years?
You don't take everything so seriously anymore - thankfully not even yourself.

Mild and creamy, the almond reaches me - and reminds me of good marzipan.
The mandarin adds an aquatic note - so nothing feels sticky.
A sweet scent that doesn’t cling - but lives!

Tuberose skillfully pairs with the velvety rose - a captivating couple, yet not overwhelming.
Sandalwood embraces my skin and patchouli floats above.

A gourmand fragrance - that remains uplifting.

Uplifting security - just like the song by Nina Simone: My Baby just cares for me:

Underrated

Sound of Donna is my insider tip when it comes to rather unknown perfumes that not everyone has or that you don't smell too often. I wouldn't describe the scent as unique; there are plenty of sweet and fruity perfumes out there, but Sound of Donna has its own DNA that makes the scent a bit special for me. There’s something slightly bitter that reminds me a bit of walnut and counteracts the sweetness very well. I would describe the longevity and sillage as average to good; on me, it lasts about seven to eight hours.

The Pretty Milanese in Magenta Robes

And once again it shows: a woman can get a completely unexpectedly beautiful fragrance for a modest price. This is Italian early summer in a bottle, which makes my heart beat faster again. You know the feeling, just removed the foil and dared the first test spray, and you immediately know that when you reach the end, a successor is coming. That's how I feel about Sound of Donna. Completely underrated. I’m giving it a solid 9 out of 10 points, and that doesn’t happen often for me! A blend of fruity, nutty, floral sweetness. Almond is clearly perceptible. Heliotrope, that can only be good. Subtle green accords, definitely no rose but wonderful sandalwood and again this nuttiness. Chestnut puree is listed but not like in Zadig & Voltaire this is her. Strolling through a sun-drenched alley in Italy under almond trees that are in bloom, a hint of mandarin and a creamy veil from the heliotrope, and the Trussardi robe is complete. I really like Sound of Donna.
