From Medicine Cabinet to Powder ... a Genius Transformation
I love it!
A rather sharp beginning, even somewhat off-putting. It reminded me a bit of a hospital smell or a medicine cabinet. Over time, it becomes slightly sweet with a hint of tipsy wood. After about 2 hours, it has settled into a powdery scent on my skin.
From half a meter away, it has a very mild aroma, but as soon as the nose gets too close to the spot where the perfume was applied, that sharp note from the beginning is felt again..... "my fault"

Powerful Stuff with Primordial Force
Huge thanks to Nicola for this olfactory delight. Otherwise, I would hardly have had the chance to smell it.
Because I haven't seen fragrances from this brand in any perfumery in the area.
A truly powerful and smoky patchouli scent with a lot of radiance and depth.
"Earthy" and "smoky" complement each other in a very refined way, looking "behind the things" instead of just showing them from their "front side." A lively interplay of the ingredients causes me to almost compulsively sniff continuously once "Mea Culpa" is sprayed on, with just a tiny amount at the spray head being enough to create an earthy-comforting-smoky "prime atmosphere" reminiscent of old "film noir" movies with unfathomable tension.
In which masterful camera angles and lighting support the plot so effectively that one can hardly look away, lest they miss anything.
I could now think of "Mea Culpa" as a "Hitchcock scent," but that alone doesn't quite capture it.
It is almost as if this fragrance wants to suck you in to look from the inside out and view the world from the "other side."
Not for a second do I doubt that I (when I have a drop of it on me) am right in the midst of ancient forests, dark alleys, shadows behind trees and walls, and who knows how many "pleasant eerinesses," and I delight in the fact that everything is on the "safe side."
A very strong substance with primordial force that creates the "goosebumps of comfort"......

Mon Chérie with Tobacco Flavor
Sometimes it's difficult to choose a fitting title and then write a brief introduction before getting to the scent progression. However, there are certain fragrance notes that remind you of something very familiar, and you immediately have a title in mind. Yes, this scent actually reminded me at first of the delicious chocolate treats. I must also admit that I had just coincidentally stuffed my face with these goodies while testing this fragrance…

The scent:
The fragrance starts with alcoholic and sweet notes, reminiscent of Mon Chérie, as Terra described in his statement. At first, you also perceive a slight tobacco note, but it soon becomes clear that this is actually the strong incense and the equally strong patchouli. For a while, the scent remains this way before transitioning to the base.
Before the vanilla is noticeable, you can briefly detect peppermint, making the fragrance momentarily reminiscent of After Eight; yes, I can really see those small chocolate biscuits filled with peppermint in their distinctive little black bags (by the way: I'm not responsible if your mouth waters at such comparisons hehe).
A bit later, the chocolatey tones fade away, and the patchouli becomes more pronounced. The vanilla is somewhat weak. Much later, the chocolate-sweet notes are also gone, and the scent smells a bit earthier.

Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is okay; the scent lasts at least eight hours.
The sillage is strong at first but cannot maintain this level for long and soon drops back to an above-average projection, though it will still be perceived by others, even if it won't be filling the room.

The bottle:
The body-like bottle is dark blue and has a fabric covering. On the bottle, there is a metal plaque with the name and brand of the fragrance. The trapezoidal cap is silver or chrome-plated. Everything is really nicely done.

The scent is actually quite okay. Given that it reminds me of two delicious treats, I like it quite a bit; however, later in the base, it becomes slightly less interesting, as you basically only smell earthy, yet somehow fresh patchouli, which still smells good.

Mon Chéri… I mean Mea Culpa, is suitable for many occasions, but as mentioned, it may seem a bit unspectacular over time when going out. It can be used well in autumn and winter, possibly also in spring.

What a coincidence that I just stuffed a handful of Mon Chérie into my mouth. But now I feel more like After Eight. … oh no, none at home… neither After Eight nor the delicious cherry treats :(
Who will bring me some? :D

Your standard, routine patchouli fragrance. Nothing about it (and especially the ambery-vanillic drydown) stands out.

Patch-vanilla often leads to unpleasant chocolatey notes, while being earthy. It's all been done before, and better. Slightly alcoholic.

It has something of cocoa beans, but they're filled with sherry. Also vanilla, a bit of incense. On my skin, it only becomes nice after a while.

Nothing is experienced without guilt. Complex, sharp, and strong presence, patchouli with vibrant vanilla-incense, positive spirit.

A can full of wet shisha tobacco, spicy, balsamic, sticky, overwhelming.
It personally takes my breath away a bit...
Grave scent!

At first, it's a Mon Chéri covered in mold. Eventually, dried old leaves join in. Not my thing. Not at all.

Sweet patchouli with a strangely artificial fruity tobacco note. The incense quickly fades away - so do I! Is that my fault? ;-)

An extraordinary combination of dried chamomile and patchouli.
Frankincense gives the scent a bodiless, almost ethereal impression.

Yes, I can smell the imaginary dark cocoa with the real patch! Like Angel without the sweetness. It's something...
