Dark dried fruit
To be honest, the Brun was one of those fragrances that I was absolutely sure I would absolutely love. In the end, I was quite disappointed. I was expecting a lot more, even though this is certainly not a bad fragrance. After all, the longevity on my skin is strong at more than 12 hours and the sillage is also convincing so far.
The top note starts extremely sweet, dark, fruity and gourmand thanks to prunes, labdanum, raisins and ribwort syrup. This impression remains predominantly in the heart note. It is joined by oriental spices such as nutmeg, allspice, cloves and a little cinnamon. The base goes in a resinous-woody, balsamic, animalic, earthy and slightly smoky direction. I can smell ambergris, sandalwood, styrax, vanilla, musk, benzoin, cedarwood and a hint of oud.
What also surprised me in the end was that the fragrance pyramid mentions many blossoms/flowers but I didn't recognize any of them. Be that as it may, Brun is not bad but not really my kind of fragrance. Many thanks to Sören for the bottling.
