Wonderful vanilla - or rather wondrous?
Mirabile means as much as wonderful or miraculous, whereby the former is rather an expression of admiration and the latter rather stands for astonishment. Well, it's the same with the scent.
First of all there is a good broadside of vanilla in almost creamy fat with a delayed good shot of rum including some Cointreau plus some resinous and spicy notes. The initially orange and rum-like touch quickly fades away again, but leaves behind a mixture of intense vanilla and some malt as well as boiled sweet milk.
No trace of lavender, patchouli and cloves.
You can actually find this wonderful, but as Leimbacher already remarked, the vanilla contained is heavily overused and unfortunately not of such high quality as you should expect from this brand. There are indeed more authentic vanilla when you break away from what the food industry in general puts before us in some puddings and other sweets. Mirabile cannot escape the artificial smell of beige, even if it remains in a discreet frame. Nevertheless, this vanilla doesn't seem unappetising or disturbing at all.
However, after eight to ten hours of continuous vanillage the whole thing can get on your nerves, because at some point you are simply overexcited. And: the next day you can still see mirabile on textiles.
So: dose sparingly, because here less is actually more. Apart from that, it is a quite portable eau de parfum, for all those who like vanilla in all its facets.
The higher aficionados of the black spice pods then prefer Spiritueuse Double Vanilla, which would be no wonder.
