Unfortunately not by Yves Saint Rochas
The fragrances from the house of Yves Rocher always carry a certain lack of glamour, despite their excellent intention with natural raw materials and high environmental awareness. They are too far removed from the exclusivity of Yves Saint Laurent or the sophistication of Rochas. However, the scents are affordable, but by no means cheap.
As an example, there is Antartic, completely underrated and probably only known to a few. Certainly, as a newcomer from the early 90s, it is hardly innovative or revolutionary, but it does its job as a pleasant summer fragrance more than adequately.
I am not even so sure if absinthe was really mixed in here. If so, they would have been quite ahead of their time. Rather, it is a tiny hint of mint that you catch a whiff of. Along with a bit of lime and spicy thyme. Thus, for a fresh scent with a delicate sharpness and less aquatic notes, it is relatively far from a Cool Water copy, even though they are fishing in the same waters.
Antartic does not undergo breathtaking developments or metamorphoses; it remains from the start an unobtrusive office or leisure companion for hot days. And it works splendidly in that regard. We have already discussed the topic of reapplying at a low price several times. It’s just a pity that it can no longer be purchased. Would it perhaps have gained more esteem under a cooler bottle and a cooler brand?
