multifaceted and well-known
What a time it was: the "Golden Era" of fragrances, which lasted for several years and yet for me reached its peak in the eighties.
Back then, I lived in my own "fragrance tunnel", which was dominated by Karl Lagerfeld's "Chloé" and "KL"; I still like them both very much today and, as a dear perfumer gifted me with almost full bottles of these vintage beauties, I can still wear both with pleasure.

Looking back and thanks to this community, I was able to get to know so many radiant and opulent fragrances from this glamorous time from different brands, which opened the senses of a "fragrance magpie" like me, with a great preference for everything shiny and luxurious, and still lets me indulge in the rich abundance.

Yves Rocher also capitalized on this trend of the time, giving many women the opportunity to wear these sparkling rich splendors without having to spend an excessive amount of money.
The well-known "The Trend is the Friend" benefited both sides here.
He didn't even have to "recreate" existing fragrance compositions; like some of this brand's "fragrance siblings", "Diamella" also simply follows the spirit of the times:
None of them can deny their origins in this glamorous era and are therefore certainly on a par with creations by Dior, for example, and compositions by major designer brands. (Even there, not every "throw" is a successful one.)

Diamella" is also one of these fragrance creations, a miniature of which I recently found together with other small flacons of this brand in a pharmacy bag outside my front door.
If I had answered the doorbell the day before, I could have thanked my good friend from the parish personally; she occasionally finds fragrant treasures at house clearances and then thinks of me:
After all, she knows about my passion for fragrances and the great curiosity that always comes with it.

According to the color and consistency, it is the eau de toilette and after reading Rosaviola's very informative article with the supplementary fragrance pyramid, I can also immerse myself in the pleasure of this classic floral chypre composition without having to send my senses on a journey of fragrance discovery, as has often been the case.
(Many thanks for this; it's just a shame that these weren't included in the existing pyramid, but they make the thoughts on "Diamella" particularly worth reading.)

Green-citrusy aldehyde glow opens a chypre fragrance experience that is not new for its time, but nevertheless always beautiful; you meet old acquaintances in a new dosage, different arrangement and guise:
The bergamot freshness, which is also embedded in green here, leads to a fruity-woody accompaniment and a heart that is wonderfully inhabited by white flowers, with jasmine and lily of the valley (my favorite "stinkers" when almost too ripe) and, of course, tuberose.
Precious roses and proud iris with a familiar light powdery note, a staple of many great and rich creations of the time, provide opulent femininity just as intensely scented as the already fully developed, generous white-flowered companions and exude the pleasant feeling of fragrance luxury.
The composition of the base is not new either; after all, oakmoss has already made its presence felt, scratching here and there at the beauty of the tastefully arranged rich floral bouquet and perhaps even disturbing the one or other sensitive nose: now it is fully revealed! Rich and balanced resin nuances, finely polished facets of incense, benzoin and ambergris not only lay a smoky-spicy net over the magnificent floral bouquet, they also caress the classic additions of cedarwood and sandalwood aromas with this fragrance weave, thus rounding off this composition harmoniously and extremely wearable.

The following also applies to "Diamella":
Not every little piece of the mosaic and every similarity with contemporaries needs to be recognized and named in this decorative fragrance, which develops and blossoms on the skin over the course of its lifetime and gives the lie to its age.
Beauty is timeless!
My "Diamella" in its small case has probably not changed much over the years and if it has, it has matured, perhaps becoming a little fuller and darker in scent, just like the wearer.
Which suits both of them perfectly!
Such finds are time travels into our world of fragrances and remind us that not everything is infinite and that many things have existed in other forms before.
I look forward to every discovery and hope to discover many new things and perhaps even recognize one or two new compositions.
