Herb Garden

My second new addition this year from YR. Again, a scent that could be described as a body spray. It is not as light as some of the other new fresh fragrances that disappear faster than sound, but it cannot compete with older scents like Chèvrefeuille. After an hour, the scent is gone. One should also be aware that this fragrance consists of only three ingredients. So, do not set high expectations. It is and remains a lightly herbal scented water.

The beginning with mandarin and lemon is fresh and quick, but the mandarin is gone again just as fast. The lemon lingers and the cedar comes in. You smell herbally well-groomed and nothing more. Since I only ordered a 20ml bottle, you can calculate how long I will last with it. All in all, the scent is not for me. Since it fits well in my handbag, it's not bad to have it with me in the summer. But I won't buy it again. Unfortunately, YR seems to be weakening in terms of fragrances more and more each year. The scents are just a bit of a mess and the bottles have the cheapest design where the foils often peel off. Such a shame, but the company must be cutting costs somewhere.

Citrusy and fresh with a disturbing note

Not too long ago, I went through a phase where I ordered something from YR with every offer. Then I wanted this shower gel, and there was something for free, and here I urgently needed a gift. The EdT was part of such an order. I thought the components sounded good and that you can't go wrong with it in summer.

So that was my first impression. I had set the 20ml aside for the time being, but I still gave the EdT a quick test. I placed it in the summer corner and then turned my attention to autumn scents. Today it is still autumn/winter/soon spring, and the fragrance remains a summer candidate, but since I have now successfully emptied the lilac EdT, I wanted to revisit this one. At first, the scent reminds me of a toilet block, which is due to the citrus and alcohol. Shortly after, it changes and smells like a fragrance oil for the lamp, which gradually evaporates. It's a nice scent in itself, if it didn't develop a strange note on my skin. Since I don't want to subject anyone in my circle to that, I will pass the scent on and not use it. It would certainly be wearable on clothing, but unfortunately, I don't want that.

The fragrance has low longevity, which I didn't expect to be any different based on my recent YR experiences. It is fresh and clean, by no means very soapy. A harmonious composition for anyone whose skin likes it :-)

Citrus Splash

I stumbled upon this zesty fragrance by chance at my aunt's place. She took out the simple bottle and said she received it as a gift from YR. Since I am drawn to lemon, mandarin, and cedar, I headed to the nearest YR shop and tested it right away...

The scent is as expected, particularly zesty; mandarin and lemon are noticeable at the beginning. After about an hour, the slightly woody note of cedar comes through, but it doesn't stand up to the citrus fruits for me and quickly fades away.

The fragrance really doesn't last long on me; after 2 hours, there's only a faint hint of scent left, which isn't too concerning given the price. The scent is barely perceptible and is therefore very suitable for warm summer days due to its lightness.

The bottle is kept simple, with citrus fruits depicted on an opaque round bottle. The spray nozzle works well, and it doesn't release too much. Skin compatibility is good, and I didn't experience any headaches.

Conclusion: Citrusy-fresh splash for hot summer days, unfortunately weak longevity for the price but acceptable.

Citrus + cedar is always a good choice, similar to the also very affordable namesake from JeanneEnProvence, but the latter is, in my opinion, more elegant and longer-lasting.
