Unusual, but beautiful
Uva Dulcis starts off fruity, sweet and quite loud for me. I smell plum and pomegranate, both deep dark red and juicy, with the grape resonating in the background. However, the sweetness doesn't last too long, it weakens and becomes rosy. Rose and patchouli now take over, the fragrance becomes slightly earthy and then turns into a warm woodiness that remains and combines with the grape, which is still in the background. Like a red wine matured in wooden barrels.
The fragrance actually develops on my skin over a period of hours. I keep picking up different notes. The sweetness, the rose, the earthiness and finally the warm wood, the sweetness has then almost completely disappeared. An unusual fragrance, not an everyday fragrance either, but one that convinces me for this very reason.
