Boozy Morning Coffee
You are on the porch of your rustic cabin, your breath condenses in the early morning air. Your coffee has vanilla creamer and a finger or two of cognac. This sweet boozy coffee warms your core. This is a boozy gourmand that doesn't immediately read as a gourmand, making it more mass appealing. There is sweetness from the plum and vanilla but there is the coffee and earthy undertone that tempers the sweet notes. This is a complex fragrance that you don't typically see in gourmands.

This scent lasted 6 hours and the projection off the skin was pretty good. Its $205 for 50ml, which is pretty steep but I think one spray will last you all day and therefore the bottle will last you a fairly long time.

Black licorice??
To me, the opening of this fragrance is black licorice (a scent for which I am a hater) that has been soaked in booze for days on end. After about 30 minutes the booze dissipates quite a bit, but that damn black licorice sticks around. It took about four hours for the black licorice scent to fade enough that I could begin to enjoy my experience with this fragrance. Eventually, a quite beautiful vanilla and sugared plum take control. Unfortunately, the journey to this point is too unpleasant for me to wear this again.

Boozy and sweet, yet a little spicy, cousin of Drunk Maple
Sampling Borntostandout Drunk Saffron, a sweet and spicy blend of plum, cognac, saffron, leather, coffee, patchouli, vanilla, and musk, yielding a significant overlap with the sweeter Drunk Maple, though pivoting more toward the spicy notes of saffron and patchouli. Still, the blend is pretty sweet and boozy, just a bit more modulated and (in my opinion) a bit less interesting than the more committed Drunk Maple, but I still like Drunk Saffron as an option for those not inclined to opt for the full gourmand experience.

As with the rest of the line, it’s EDP concentration, priced at $210 for 50ml, and available at a handful of boutiques in the US, like Ministry of Scent. Overall, I think it’s quite good, just not as compelling as Drunk Maple.

Hot and spicy
In the opening, you get the spicy saffron directly in your face. The spiciness then quickly fades. Slowly, a really tasty grape liqueur emerges. As it progresses, it becomes sweeter and sweeter, with more vanilla and a very pleasant coffee note. On the very first day I bought it, my friend said to me: "Spicy scent"

The old schnapps cellar from times gone by
In my opinion, this release from BORNTOSTANDOUT has several facets to it.
The beginning is characterized by cognac and the fruitiness of the plum note. The fragrance brings in the same breath- uh... Nasenzug also brings something cold and musty with it, which reminds me very much of an old schnapps cellar.
Mind you, in a positive sense!

However, this fades over time and the initial fruitiness makes way for a wonderful vanilla note, which characterizes the drydown until the end. This also develops the sweetness and a slight leatheriness.
However, I don't get anything from the coffee note, but that's not necessary with a fragrance like this

On the whole, Drunk Saffron is a wonderful evening/going out fragrance with a very long lasting and strong sillage, which is not too overpowering.

Delicious! Boozy and plummy with a hint of vanilla and coffee that I do get here. The saffron gives it such a nice smooth-glossy texture.

Rum opening is short as it pulls in smooth leathery saffron which is sprinkled on top of this gourmand plum compote vanilla puding drydown.
