The overly sweet banana bread!
Nanatopia was the first perfume i ever tried from BTSO/borntostandout. Nanatopia made me love the brand and made me want to discover more from there brand! Nanatopia is very similar to a syrupy banana bread which smells and tastes delicious! The banana is there through the whole wear which is really rare for banana peerfumes nowadays. Nanatopia lasts around 10 hours on my skin which is great in my opinion. I would recommend this to someone looking for a unique sweet, fruity gourmand scent!

banana bread in a hamster cage
opens with a spiced boozy rum that quickly turns into a caramelized banana bread note; the heart of this sits a bit as a rum soaked banana bread loaf…but the dry down is where this falters heavily. this gives off the scent of a hamster cage…and I don’t know if the tonka bean helps at all to balance out that animalic accord in the base. It just smells like earthy, animalic, hay? there’s no remnants of the smooth rum or the bready caramel or sweet bananas whatsoever, it’s just a synthetic herbal overtly earthy mess. had high hopes for this and wanted to believe ppl dissing this were wrong…but alas this scent is terrible.

Complex Banana
This is a delicious banana scent. It goes from candy to warm with spice to sweet woody dry down. To be more specific, the scent starts with a light, creamy, sweet candy banana, like runts candy. Even though the spices are listed as the top note, I got the candy banana first with the spices in the background and as the candy-ness mellowed out, I got a dense spiced loaf of banana bread. The notes are distinct too, you can individually pick out the caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg and banana bread. The spice mellows and then you get a lightly sweet woody skin scent. I love this, I was worried that it would be too candy for me but the spices and dry down are delightful. The projection is fairly strong, I was able to pick up this scent for at least 4 hours. The longevity is good too, I was able to get the dry down on my skin even 6 hours later.

The 10/10 gourmand to me
The first time I smelled this, it made my brain type in Wingdings. The explosion of rainbow candy in the opening is so weird and creative. It's what a sexy clowngirl would smell like. It settles to a syrupy center and a warm toasty base that lasts all day (I get the wood chips comparison, even the woody part smells clean and cooking-grade to me, although I don't know what kind of oven for baked goods would be stoked with wood chips). While it has some spice, it has a much more bright, saturated feel than dry or autumnal.

Interesting banana-forward gourmand, boozy and spicy
Sampling Borntostandout Nanatopia, a fittingly banana-focused, with notes of liqueurs and spices fostering a sweet, boozy gourmand blend that also curiously has some restraint and non-gourmand aspect in the cypriol note, and I think it’s overall a very interesting option for those like banana notes but want them wrapped in something sophisticated rather than smelling like a banana laffy taffy, as much as others might want that, all the same. This does a good job with banana, in my opinion, as I generally find it to be a difficult note to enjoy in fragrance, given that I find it quite distractive and playful rather than classy or classic.

As with the rest of the house’s catalogue, it’s EDP concentration and priced at $290/210/85 for 100/50/15ml, fairly reasonable in the current market. It performs quite well, also.

I’m not sure I’d wear it myself, in conclusion, but I quite like it and find it to be a very interesting treatment of banana.

Boozy banana bread that dries down to nutty, brown sugar coffee cake.

To me, this smells like bubble gum on top of Burberry London for Men (cinnamon blast). Not very interesting…

Rum, cinnamon, caramel, tonka, and banana. Amazing gourmand scent, won me over right after the first spray.

Christmas cookies with plenty of walnut and rum in the dough.
No association with banana bread, but still a good gourmand.

Strangely reminds me of 'I am Trash', strong musky, cinnamon, rum-like - very warm, very soft, not too heavy, little banana. Delicious!

unexpectedly strong after spraying, almost like a slap in the face. Very rum-heavy, alcohol-like. Drydown is wooden barrel with rum, no banana.

Uh, there's a very off-putting note in here, I don't smell any banana, it rather smells like fruit that's already going bad. What a shame!

The top notes are very strong and linger until the end. Banana is only present for a few minutes. It's well done, but unfortunately not for me.
