Boss Bottled for Beginners
Now I actually have to praise a fragrance from Bugatti, after I tore apart another one from the same series. But indeed, this one (unlike its blue brother) manages not only to meet the expectations of a perfume in this price range but perhaps even exceed them for some, by closely mimicking its "inspiration" (Boss Bottled) for a fraction of the price.
To be fair, I must say that I am not a big fan of Boss Bottled and do not own this fragrance. Synthetic sweet sludge for men, which is often sprayed in far too large amounts - with such a fragrance DNA, one could easily scare me away. However, there are still plenty of fans of this scent, and tastes are indeed different - there are surely lovers of Bugatti Signature White as well.
For those who are not familiar with Boss Bottled, here’s a brief outline of the fragrance direction: Rather sweet with a much-quoted hint of freshness (which I personally cannot find) consisting of apple, cinnamon, and vanilla. The apple, in my mind's eye, is not green and fresh, but rather a red, overripe, and sweet fruit. You get a bit more of the vanilla here, a little less of the longevity, and a bit more of the price is trimmed, and voila - you have conjured up the dupe described here from Boss Bottled.
But seriously, for beginners, this could be just the right thing. A DNA that has probably been perceived in some form before and is not too complex, the stuff is cheap, lasts really well for the price, and is available for testing (yes, I can only recommend this to beginners before buying ANY fragrance) in almost every drugstore and thus in practically every city.
You don’t want to spend much, have few or no fragrances, and are looking for an all-rounder? Check this out.
You already have several fragrances, may be venturing into the niche world, and want to bring some fresh air into your collection? Look for something else; with this one, you will hardly be happy - and for another dust collector on your shelf, even 15€ is actually too much.
