Good Mood from the Flacon
Do you know that feeling when you're under time pressure and end up making illogical decisions? That happened to me again today.
Somehow, I had completely overlooked the Bugatti fragrances; alongside the often much more eye-catching other flacons and names, they just faded away. I had mentally categorized Bugatti in the same group as other very cheap designer brands, from which I had the impression that they aimed to be somewhat banal, flat, and mass-appealing, thus unfortunately creating rather boring scents. Once again, superficiality struck, and I judged the fragrances without having tested them first.
However, today the time pressure made me give this brand a chance. First, I sprayed on Eleganza Rossa (positive surprise) and then Felicita. From the color of the flacon, I expected a rather gentle floral scent with little depth, but I was wrong.
Right from the first sniff, this fragrance put a smile on my lips - first of all because of the big surprise. It's completely different than expected! A lot of fruit, but right from the start, there’s also such an elegant, finely tuned floral lightness and a slightly fresh note that, despite its lightness, is very noticeable. With every subsequent sniff from the test strip, I had to smile again, simply because this scent made me feel so cheerful. I rarely experience that. - But I was in a hurry, so I quickly got into the car and left.
On the drive, I couldn't take my nose off the test strip, and that’s when I realized what fruit it was: banana. That was the next surprise. First of all, I had never smelled it in a fragrance before, and secondly, I had been convinced that synthetic banana aromas were not for me. Now I know better: artificial banana flavor is not for me, but the scent apparently is.
And yet, there was continuously this very elegant sweet floral freshness to smell, which doesn’t smell squeaky like a girly fragrance, but also isn’t old-fashioned or arrogant. This note is very grown-up and yet so full of joy for life.
The only criticism I have here is that these two notes might not be 100% harmonious with each other, or rather, the banana is so loud that it steals a bit of the show from the others, even though the other fragrance notes in this perfume are so beautiful that they should definitely not be forgotten.
All in all, you get a really nice fragrance for your money here, which is especially suited for the warm season and simply brings good mood.
