The Blue Pirate from Müller
Well, who doesn't know it: At the beginning (actually so far at the beginning that I probably couldn't name 3 fragrance houses yet) of one's fragrance career, you run through the perfume section of some generic drugstore, be it Müller, DM, or in my case Bipa, see the immense selection of scents, casually test a few of them (of course nothing that costs over €30, one isn't crazy enough to spend that much on perfumed water) and then just take the one that you like best.
And yes, that's exactly how the scent smells. On the strip it’s inconspicuous but not bad, a bit fresh, somewhat aquatic, leaning towards the scent of one or another deodorant. On the skin or clothing, however, it’s a different story. Pure synthetic, which could give you a knockout within the first 20 minutes of the fragrance's development (at least if you, like I did on the first wear, unknowingly used way too much without knowing the proper application of a fragrance), then rapidly diminishes, and after 2-3 hours is only minimally perceptible close to the skin.
A really great first experience with one of the first fragrances? Absolutely not, more like one that makes you think twice about whether this expensive scent, compared to the deodorant used up to that point, is actually superior and should be worn. Nevertheless, I have now made my leap into the world of more enjoyable (and unfortunately also more expensive) (niche) fragrances, but I can't really recommend this perfume.
