Tonkab bean where there is none
While testing on strips at dm, I thought to myself: ohhhh yes! A gourmand scent, I’ll take it on my hand for further testing!
I smell a kind of spicy chocolate when I step outside and tonka bean! ...and vanilla!
The (apparent) tonka bean quickly becomes stronger and spicier.
Then I look at the notes at home and have to laugh. Coffee? Well, no, with all due love, not.
Patchouli and jasmine are noticeable and carry the scent in a spicy and sweet manner. Maybe it’s also the combination of these two + pepper that creates the illusion of tonka bean.
After 45 minutes, there’s another little surprise: the scent somehow becomes fruity-sweet (is that the lingering pear?) and reminds me of pink chewing gum.
After that, it finds itself back in the gourmand area and ultimately stands quietly as a chocolate-pepper-patchouli-noble wood notes scent.
