herbaceous and homey
The inspiration for this scent is the autumnal rice harvest fields in Vietnam, and I was not sure what to expect from the note profile. After rereading the associated blurb with the discovery set, I can smell the intended inspiration albeit in a different sense. The golden, ripe rice stalks drying in the autumn sun can create an idyllic, nostalgic scene. To me, the patchouli and pink pepper creates a clean, herby scent; it smells like the pink soap I used to wash myself with as a child, it is familiar in a way. Occasionally, the patchouli overpowers the scent, from time to time, it creates a medicinal smell. I am not sure what the rice stalk is supposed to smell like in this scent - perhaps it is the dryness and brittleness I smell - but this is a herb-heavy scent.
All in all, a medicinal, powdery, yet homey scent.
