Blue Spark House of Heartistry 2025

this is one of the most insane scents I've ever smelt

Blue Spark really does smell like the name. the "blue" coming from the lotus and hyacinth, and the "spark" coming from the doses of deer musk and papyrifera, which makes it smell like one of the blue ramune sodas you get at the japanese market.

the musk used in this has blown me away. it really does smell like a spark, it has this (spark)ling faint animal quality to it, and the blue lotus and lily give it an watery oceanic, sweet backbone

and then as it soothes out the thai oud comes in, adding this woody earthy base all throughout

this is my first hoh scent and i need more after smelling this, 10/10

Blue spark opens with a cloud of aquatic musk...

This scent really recalibrated my understanding of "musk." It's addictive, but go gently as too much at once almost sears your nostrils.

That said, the opening is absolutely gorgeous. Behind the musk you get swirling hyacinth, lotus, and lily. There's even an impression of citrus and pine from the frankincense.

The musk gives a touch of something like the ambience of an underground swimming pool. A friend compared it to a cleaning product. However it quickly settles from the more ammoniac siberian musk into the smooth tonkin musk base which wears like a warm blanket.

The white lily lasts the longest out of the florals and the heart gradually fades to a gorgeous green base of wild thai oud. This is one of the most beautiful ouds I've smelled and it's both incredibly complex and long lasting. 10+ hours later is still noticeable with projection!

Overall this is one of the most beautiful fragrances I've smelled in the last year. It really grows on you. I even ended bought a backup bottle!
