Orris, my dear Orris
Now what is all we search for, everyone serves a purpose; sometimes its to search for the way of faith, the way of life, or the way of being. We all serve one purpose in life and thats to find it, and I must say my purpose in life is these scents, these scents capture what I didn't think was possible, its spicy but sweet, its floral in a scent of purpose, and everything in this serves a purpose for the scent profile in a way that I didn't think was possible. Now im normally not the guy to like orris, ive never really liked orris or iris, they have been too powdery and weird for me to enjoy, but this scent really caught me of guard. In a weird way this smells like carmex lip balm, and that's not something bad! But what is the meaning behind this scent? Its what i find intresting with this, all other scents had a clear meaning, this isnt so easy to connect, but after thinking for a while i get it! This is the scent of learning to settle down, now bear with me. We as humans are always on the run, we run from something that we dont like, we want to change something, but once in our life we have to settle down, and this is the idea of settling down, because when we settle down, this scent does what we do, it settles down.
Now what is this scent, its magical, its forgiving, it's caring, and most importantly, it's calming. Im having this weird phenomenon with this brand: no scent smelled the same from the cap as when you put it on skin, some of them were very very different! Now when I smell it of the cap, its very floral and light, not much heavy, maybe a bit of a creamy vibe in there somewhere. But what about having it on skin? When you spray this on skin, you get a real thick heavy orris butter, not the one i dont like, but a more floral one, its more on the side of lotus flower orris, the orris butter shows all throughout the scent and its lovely, but it carries on throughout the scent, but when will it learn to settle down?
Now you feel the oud coming out, its quite an odd feeling, its a sparkly oud, i know it sounds weird but listen to me, sparkly oud with orris butter is amazing, its warm but refreshing, its still calming and it blends so well together. Not much more comes here, it now starts to settle down, the orris builds a home and starts a family but still isnt fully commited, soon he will be, but for now he works a little still.
When you're done, when you have fully settled down, only then can you enjoy art, art in its purest form. Now when this scent has fully dried down, its oud, smooth and creamy oud. Its oud in its purest form, still holding some sparkly notes from what it used to be, but now it has fully settled down, truly an amazing way to show art!
I would say this scent is one of the finest, its rich, creamy, floral and woody, and i just say this scent is amazing for those in search of something calming and comforting!
