Nice shower gel fragrance
I've been lurking around this fragrance for a long time, simply because I really like peony notes. Rose is usually too heavy and intense for me, but you can't go wrong with peony, I think. So I decided to order this EdP, especially as it was on sale for under €20.
Fleur de Pivoine opens sparkling thanks to the mandarin. To be honest, I can only smell blackcurrant very slightly. The citrusy opening is immediately followed by peony and a light maritime note, and it stays that way for the time being. In general, the top and heart notes are reminiscent of a nice shower gel.
The drydown is then quite normal musky and just a touch green.
Fleur de Pivoine reminds me very slightly of the flanker from L'eau d'Issey, which also has Pivoine in its name, only the Lagerfeld is more sparkling instead of pear-heavy.
All in all, I perceive the fragrance very positively, but the longevity is subterranean, especially for an alleged eau de parfum. It only lasts about 3 hours. But for the price you can spray it again.
