Very little chocolate, strong leather & oud
I was hopeful this would be a less sweet gourmand given the notes. This is really a leather scent with a hint of cocoa powder. This is not sweet at all and most of the notes outside of leather & oud are not present. There is no brightness from the citrus or ginger to cut the dense leather. Chocolates and vanilla are nearly nonexistent. The dry cocoa accentuates the leather and oud, rather than softening them. Drydown is relatively linear with the woods and amber making a subtle appearance after 30 minutes or so. The leather and oud are present throughout. Disappointing fragrance, particularly given the cost.

Too little chocolate
Halt! Those expecting a gourmand are asked to revise their expectations.
The leathery part is already well perceptible from the opening along with a dark, "dusty" chocolate (as if it were cocoa) that, alas, almost immediately ends up in the background.
This first phase also sees a shy saffron that gives a bit of liveliness and brightness.
As time goes on, however, a distinct hint of leather always lingers, suppressing some of that chocolate that I had hoped would take center stage.
In the finish it softens and mellows a little and a hint of ambergris also emerges.
As a happy owner and lover of Fôm, I expected great things from this third creation born of the collaboration between Teo of Profumix and Pax, but I was not particularly impressed.
