Powdery iris and cinnamon bubblegum
Dark Florum intrigued me, I wanted to try it out because people were saying how close this one is to Reflection 45 (my favorite fragrance). However, they are not that alike. Yes, there are some similarities, but they are different.

It opens spicy, floral, a bit fruity, airy and with citrus notes giving structure to this composition. Cinnamon and cloves are dominating, but they have artificial qualities; it strongly reminds me of bubblegum with cinnamon flavoring. There is also a touch of booziness.

After citruses fade away completely, iris is starting to overpower everything in this fragrance. Powdery, a bit lipsticky and sweet. And this is mostly what I'm getting from Dark Florum: powdery iris with other floral notes, fruity sweetness and a woody structure. Occasionally, there are some smoky/tobacco whiffs that come and go really fast. It does have resinous accents, but I wanted and expected deeper and more pronounced resins.

The base is woody, sweet and powdery. Honestly, kinda reminds me of a cosmetic bag. Leans more fem to me.

In terms of longevity, it's easily 8+ hours on my skin, projection is more than average. Unlike Reflection 45, I can smell Dark Florum all the time while wearing it. The blending is smooth, doesn't smell cheap, but with so many notes I expected this fragrance to be more interesting and exciting.

Overall, I'm kinda disappointed. Way too powdery and bubblegummy.
Maybe my expectations ruined the whole experience?

When the flowers decided to wear the dress of the night… revealing that beauty can be as dark as it is enchanting.
A dark masterpiece that redefines the meaning of flowers.
Not just a traditional bouquet, but an aesthetic project that plants roses, jasmine, and tuberose in a suffocating nocturnal garden, saturated with resins, incense, and smoke, transforming innocence into seduction, and beauty into dense theatrical mystery.
From the very first moment, the fragrance bursts with a warm glow of spices and resinous woods, as if a door opens to a mysterious garden at midnight, breathing the steam of incense and the dampness of the earth, announcing that what lies ahead is an unusual experience.
As it moves to the heart, the flowers reveal themselves with changed natures: no longer soft or transparent, but fermented, heavy flowers wrapped in leathery, animalic, and amber touches, glowing under a pale moon and creating a scene like a complete aromatic theatre.
Then the base settles into a blend of oud, patchouli, musk, and labdanum, where smoke intertwines with amber and resins to form a black veil that clings to the skin for many hours, like a mysterious trace that is hard to remove.
The performance here proves that Pazzaglia has created a fragrance that knows no compromise: longevity comfortably extends from ten to twelve hours, with a moderate to strong projection in the early hours before fading into a close halo, while leaving a calculated sillage that attracts attention without causing a commotion.
The ideal number of sprays does not exceed five; otherwise, the enchanting veil turns into a suffocating burden.
Therefore, its optimal use is limited to autumn and winter atmospheres, where the cold opens its domain, especially on evenings and special or formal occasions, far removed from summer daytime or everyday situations.
It is a fragrance designed for those with a bold taste who seek heavy, oriental floral perfumes and understand that beauty can sometimes be dark.
In terms of value, Dark Florum presents itself as a distinct niche option, justifying its price with its complex composition and high performance. It can be compared to fragrances like Amouage Opus X or Nasomatto Narcotic Venus, but with a darker, smokier spirit. The result: a perfume not for everyday use or seeking compliments, but a statement of identity and presence, a memorable experience that leaves a lasting impression rather than a fleeting one.

Surprising - something dark gives the otherwise familiar iris that certain something
I actually tested Dark Florum in the perfumery I trust while searching for notes/ingredients that give me headaches. The owner of the shop had sprayed various fragrances for me to test in order to get to the bottom of it. From the very first sniff, I was thrilled; I know most of Lorenzo's creations, but this one was somehow different, and I couldn't for the life of me say why. (And spoiler alert: nothing in this fragrance is one of the culprits that causes my headaches.)

The scent is floral and fruity-sweet, has a pleasant creaminess, and yet a dark depth that makes it special. Iris and Ylang-Ylang are clearly in the spotlight, but Dark Florum is quite different from other floral fragrances like Fleur Narcotique by Ex Nihilo. It's not a green bouquet shoved in your face, but warm and with a pleasant spicy sweetness as if it were a bouquet that had been rolled in rum and dates.

From time to time, (for me) vaguely defined fruits emerge from the background. Never overwhelming or in-your-face sweet like Summer Hammer. The base of warm woods and resinous accents gives the fragrance the perceived dark depth and imparts a confident and seductive character.

I think Dark Florum is a perfect fragrance for special moments or evenings when you want to make an impression. The scent lasts a long time and leaves a distinctly noticeable trail. Perhaps not suitable for a hot summer day, but otherwise easily wearable all the time.

Starts smelling strongly of a flowery meadow at dewy dusk. Floral notes slowly dissipate and reveal creamy fig/iris. Little else going on.

Interesting - musk, amber surrounded by flowers and citruses. Scent of dichotomy - bright accords surrounded by dark ones.

Very intense unisex floral scent. A whole flower shop full of strongly scented plants. Very similar to Narcotic.V by the way.
