Imperial Vanilla Majouri 2024

a simple pyramid, mostly made of gourmand notes, yet it’s nothing like traditional vanilla dessert inspired fragrances. this gem is a rose jammy scent, very sweet with a strong spicy resinous touch, quite linear. most of my collection is made of vanilla frags, but imperial vanilla is definitely a standout bc i deeply appreciate how calm, discrete, mysterious is the scent, there’s this neat balance between gourmand and maturity.

I like it much better, more complex, richer, darker, more feminine. At first, I perceive a soft, almost balsamic vanilla, followed immediately by a transition into floral, caramel notes. But still not in a way that feels overwhelming. In direct comparison, Vanilla | 28 Eau de Parfum comes across as synthetic, woody, and, as I said, lacking depth. Imperial Vanilla has significantly more depth.
