The Reason Why Batman Wins!
Is Thierry Mugler actually a Superman fan? I don't know, and I haven't researched it, but you have to admit that the name of the fragrance (not to mention the green color) immediately makes you think of kryptonite, which by now should be common knowledge even for those who aren't comic fans, as this (fictional) mineral is indeed Superman's weakness. Because green kryptonite (by the way, there are many other colors of this mineral) can weaken Superman and even kill him if he is exposed to it for too long.
And Batman? Well, what is a mortal man without superpowers against Superman? The Man of Steel just has to nudge him with his little finger, and Batman is no longer Batman but Bat-mush! But,… Batman wouldn't be Batman if he weren't prepared for any danger (after all, he is considered one of the smartest people in the world; you know, he is the "world's greatest detective"). So he always carries a piece of kryptonite with him to stop Superman if he ever goes off the rails (which can certainly happen due to various types of kryptonite or even magic, which is also a weakness of Superman).
Well, since then, the question of who would win if Batman and Superman fought each other has divided comic fans and…. Oh wait… shouldn't this actually be about a fragrance? :DDD
The Fragrance:
First of all, you immediately smell the typical A*Men DNA, which for some can be quite an acquired taste. However, this one is a bit milder. Above all, a nice peppermint note comes through, which, along with the slightly earthy and also sweet A*Men DNA, reminds me of the treat "After Eight",… I think you can even smell the chocolate note from it, hmm… :)
However, I don't feel like the mint has been "frosted," as it doesn't appear very cool, and to be honest, the fragrance is not exactly refreshing either.
In the background, there is a hint of rose, but very subtle, after all, it is supposed to be a scent for men.
A little later, the mint is still present, but the fragrance then smells a bit less like After Eight because the patchouli note becomes a bit stronger, making the scent smell more earthy than chocolaty, although there is still a certain sweetness present that remains until the end. After about two hours, however, the peppermint has completely disappeared, and the fragrance starts to smell more like the original scent, albeit a bit lighter.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage cannot be compared to the original A*Men, as the original really packs a punch. But this fragrance is not weak either; it just leaves a slightly smaller scent cloud, and you have to get a bit closer to smell it. Nevertheless, the projection is quite good.
The longevity is also quite good; this fragrance lasts more than twelve hours.
The Bottle:
First of all, the fragrance comes in the same eternal bottle as most Mugler men's fragrances. You can't help but feel envious of the ladies when you see what great bottles the Angel and Alien fragrances have. Anyway, this one is poison green, the color of kryptonite. On the front, you can see the Mugler star, this time in dark green. There is no cap; it is simply integrated into the spray head. Its color makes it stand out from most black or darker bottles of the A*Men fragrances, as it looks really great with this bright color (somewhat similar to the Ultra Zest). Overall, it's nice, but the design is now too outdated and looks like it’s from the 80s or early 90s.
If anyone was expecting a fresh or refreshing fragrance for summer, I’m afraid I have to disappoint you. Despite the clearly noticeable mint, this herb is only moderately fresh and at most softens the somewhat strong or intense scent of the original A*Men perfume. But at least it exudes a pleasant scent. I would say that the fragrance can be worn in spring, but for summer, it feels too heavy again. Of course, it also fits well in autumn.
The mint is actually the main player and gives the well-known A*Men a new and welcome note, as it smells good. Otherwise, the fragrance resembles the normal A*Men, just a bit lighter and therefore not as strong. Nevertheless, the sillage is good, so the fragrance could be used for many occasions, even for going out. Overall, I find the fragrance good and even better than the original. Therefore, I would recommend giving it a try!
Oh, and regarding the different kryptonite colors,… if anyone is interested, they can have different effects on Superman. For example, golden kryptonite robs him of his superpower, or red makes him evil, etc…
But let's get back to the title of my comment: Why would Batman win a fight against Superman? Of course, Batman sprays himself with this fragrance beforehand. While my cat runs away from citrus scents, Superman tries to run away from this fragrance, with the difference that the kryptonite-infused scent weakens him, and he can't even run anymore. And Batman, well, he really gives that pretty boy a smack! So simple! :DD
…and just to be clear…
…I am Batman!
