Interesting
A bit odd. It goes from mint and crispy to something quite calming and creamy. This is one of those fragrances with a very dispairing trip starting with one thing and ending somewhere completely different.

Charming Mint-Patchouli
I really like this scent. It is a winning, sociable freshie with depth that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

At its base is the bittersweet chocolatey-earthy patchouli of A*Men (the fragrance that has impressed me the most to this day, but eventually became too overwhelming), albeit in a much quieter form. Warm and sensual. Delightfully uncomplicated. The note alone would still be too much for me in the long run, as I find its slightly sugary sweetness borderline. However, in this Eau de Toilette, it is balanced out by a mint that completely permeates it.
Both components often have a slightly medicinal aspect. This is also the case here. At this intersection, they meet and connect, without really coming off as medicinal. There is merely a nuance that only the wearer perceives when they smell closely. The mint note is very distinct at first, but quickly seeps in over time, so that both protagonists soon appear equally matched. During the drydown, I also perceive a subtly soapy touch that adds a hint of elegance. Possibly a musk effect. Perhaps the geranium is also involved, as one can detect a minimally floral aspect (if one knows it from the note listing). I particularly like this twist, as it sets it apart character-wise from the A*Men patchouli. It thus appears cleaner. This creates a tension-rich and, in my opinion, perfectly balanced combination of dry, bitter chocolatey sweetness and a slightly clean minty aspect.

This fragrance composition brings a smile to my face every time. Attractive, relaxed, and in an unobtrusive way, sexy. Wonderfully casual with a touch of everyday elegance. The predominantly fully synthetic ingredients do make it miss a bit of genuine liveliness, but its charming character makes up for that for me. For a designer, it is quite independent and unusually restrained for a Mugler. An example of successful synthetics.

Keeps me happy.

Fairground-Ready Hit Song in Mint Leaf Attire
Maybe I should soon give up my olfactory efforts with Mugler's men's fragrances. I thought this after walking around for about 2 hours with a good dose of the newly released Mugler, which I had mistakenly perceived in a Freudian manner as "Kryptonite."

The original "A*Men" is a bit of a dilemma - initially impressed by its extraordinary nature, my 10 ml decant has now been sitting unused in the drawer for 2 years. Somehow never wearable, too much, too close to headaches and nasal irritation.

The "Kryptomint" has - similar to almost all Mugler offshoots - something almost Schlager-like about it.
In the first second, one might actually think they are being offered something new (as in Schlager with new songs, at least sometimes when they mix in some 'new' instrument), but beneath the surface, the familiar (swaying) pattern quickly reemerges.

And somehow, the brightly colored bottle and the sweetly artificial aroma of the fragrance fit into this superficial illusion of good mood and colorful clothing.

A few minutes of rather intense mint oil open the fragrance, which simultaneously hits you with something reminiscent of cotton candy and fairground vibes, prompting my nose to soon close the flaps. A lot of market-crier sweetness in the typical "A*Men" mode, a bit of caramel and asphalt-like notes, probably this lab-created patchouli monster.

When the mint has faded, the tried-and-true, well-loved framework of the gummy star block remains, which may suit cold days but brings me no joy (anymore). In the end, the superficial, sugary, 50% too cheerful Schlager impression prevails.

A Scoop of Ice Cream, After Eight Please!
I got this fragrance because I don't know of any comparable scent direction.

For me, the fragrance initially comes off as very synthetic and biting; it takes about 30 minutes on my skin to develop. Despite the synthetic opening, you immediately notice the mint and a large portion of chocolate. After the aforementioned 30 minutes, the synthetic quality disappears, leaving a very high-quality "AFTER EIGHT" scent experience on the skin and, of course, in the nose. However, the A*Men DNA is also preserved in this gem. The genius of this fragrance is: it comes off as damn COOL, and I don't mean cool as in casual, but cool and cold. On the skin, it has a "frozen" effect for me; it not only exudes that awesome After Eight scent but also a coolness, like a scoop of ice cream *Grin*. For me, Kryptomint is a perfect companion in summer; it's not heavy, yet still intense.

The longevity is as expected from a MUGLER, very good (about 10 hours)! But, it is also one of the weaker Muglers. This means: it's not Pure Malt, but that doesn’t bother me with this fragrance!!!

The sillage is, as expected, excellent; it lasts a good 7-8 hours and then slowly fades.

What I find negative about this fragrance, as with the other Muglers: the bottle. It looks nice, and the design is great! But the handling and the spray head are unfortunately a total disaster...

Conclusion: Recommended for purchase, especially for summer!

The Reason Why Batman Wins!
The Reason Why Batman Wins!

Is Thierry Mugler actually a Superman fan? I don't know, and I haven't researched it, but you have to admit that the name of the fragrance (not to mention the green color) immediately makes you think of kryptonite, which by now should be common knowledge even for those who aren't comic fans, as this (fictional) mineral is indeed Superman's weakness. Because green kryptonite (by the way, there are many other colors of this mineral) can weaken Superman and even kill him if he is exposed to it for too long.

And Batman? Well, what is a mortal man without superpowers against Superman? The Man of Steel just has to nudge him with his little finger, and Batman is no longer Batman but Bat-mush! But,… Batman wouldn't be Batman if he weren't prepared for any danger (after all, he is considered one of the smartest people in the world; you know, he is the "world's greatest detective"). So he always carries a piece of kryptonite with him to stop Superman if he ever goes off the rails (which can certainly happen due to various types of kryptonite or even magic, which is also a weakness of Superman).

Well, since then, the question of who would win if Batman and Superman fought each other has divided comic fans and…. Oh wait… shouldn't this actually be about a fragrance? :DDD

The Fragrance:
First of all, you immediately smell the typical A*Men DNA, which for some can be quite an acquired taste. However, this one is a bit milder. Above all, a nice peppermint note comes through, which, along with the slightly earthy and also sweet A*Men DNA, reminds me of the treat "After Eight",… I think you can even smell the chocolate note from it, hmm… :)
However, I don't feel like the mint has been "frosted," as it doesn't appear very cool, and to be honest, the fragrance is not exactly refreshing either.
In the background, there is a hint of rose, but very subtle, after all, it is supposed to be a scent for men.
A little later, the mint is still present, but the fragrance then smells a bit less like After Eight because the patchouli note becomes a bit stronger, making the scent smell more earthy than chocolaty, although there is still a certain sweetness present that remains until the end. After about two hours, however, the peppermint has completely disappeared, and the fragrance starts to smell more like the original scent, albeit a bit lighter.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage cannot be compared to the original A*Men, as the original really packs a punch. But this fragrance is not weak either; it just leaves a slightly smaller scent cloud, and you have to get a bit closer to smell it. Nevertheless, the projection is quite good.
The longevity is also quite good; this fragrance lasts more than twelve hours.

The Bottle:
First of all, the fragrance comes in the same eternal bottle as most Mugler men's fragrances. You can't help but feel envious of the ladies when you see what great bottles the Angel and Alien fragrances have. Anyway, this one is poison green, the color of kryptonite. On the front, you can see the Mugler star, this time in dark green. There is no cap; it is simply integrated into the spray head. Its color makes it stand out from most black or darker bottles of the A*Men fragrances, as it looks really great with this bright color (somewhat similar to the Ultra Zest). Overall, it's nice, but the design is now too outdated and looks like it’s from the 80s or early 90s.

If anyone was expecting a fresh or refreshing fragrance for summer, I’m afraid I have to disappoint you. Despite the clearly noticeable mint, this herb is only moderately fresh and at most softens the somewhat strong or intense scent of the original A*Men perfume. But at least it exudes a pleasant scent. I would say that the fragrance can be worn in spring, but for summer, it feels too heavy again. Of course, it also fits well in autumn.

The mint is actually the main player and gives the well-known A*Men a new and welcome note, as it smells good. Otherwise, the fragrance resembles the normal A*Men, just a bit lighter and therefore not as strong. Nevertheless, the sillage is good, so the fragrance could be used for many occasions, even for going out. Overall, I find the fragrance good and even better than the original. Therefore, I would recommend giving it a try!

Oh, and regarding the different kryptonite colors,… if anyone is interested, they can have different effects on Superman. For example, golden kryptonite robs him of his superpower, or red makes him evil, etc…

But let's get back to the title of my comment: Why would Batman win a fight against Superman? Of course, Batman sprays himself with this fragrance beforehand. While my cat runs away from citrus scents, Superman tries to run away from this fragrance, with the difference that the kryptonite-infused scent weakens him, and he can't even run anymore. And Batman, well, he really gives that pretty boy a smack! So simple! :DD

…and just to be clear…

…I am Batman!

Kryptomint starts with a green, very herbaceous mint with sweetness. In the drydown, you get the classic A*Men DNA with a creamy patchouli.

Toothpasteish mint with chocolate. Not quite refreshing despite the mint. Strongly reminds me of Aero Peppermint chocolate. Mediocre params.
