Hello you sniffers and welcome to my latest commentary. Today I'm writing about a brand that some of you ladies seem to ignore more often, namely Mugler. Although the Angel scents are at least given a bit more attention than the Aliens… of all things, you don’t look at the Aliens, maaaan. They are such great scents, so delicious, so sexy, but no, you ladies just don’t like them. I keep recommending them, but no, it’s as if I’m talking to a wall. So ridiculous! You’re just so silly, you don’t know what’s good :D
With the Aliens (at least with most Alien scents, especially the Fusion) you smell simply wonderful! So deliciously tempting, but neeeeeeein… ugh so silly, SO SILLY, eyyyyy….!
Ugh, I’ve barely written five sentences and already I’m just complaining. Good thing this is at least an Angel scent, and a pretty good one at that. Because the Eau Croisière 2020 smells wonderful, but without being as overwhelming and intense as the original Angels (EDT and especially the EDP, ugh is that intense :D). It’s just a very nice scent, which probably means that you ladies won’t particularly like this scent either, because it smells so good and you’d rather smell atrocious, right? Blöööödiane, all of you!
Alright, first let’s talk about the scent!
The scent:
Upon spraying, you immediately perceive the general Angel DNA. Even though it doesn’t smell like the EDT or the EDP, you can instantly recognize the similarities and you see or smell that this scent indeed belongs to the Angel family. There’s immediately a spicy aura with a (here rather light) honey touch.
But what’s going on now? Do I smell figs? In an Angel scent? Or did I not wash my arm well enough to remove yesterday’s scent, which had already faded anyway? No, it really smells like figs and lo and behold, there is indeed fig milk in the scent. This scent, combined with other sweet notes, smells truly excellent, as it has a pleasantly green-sweet aroma and doesn’t come off stuffy like some other fig notes (and I hope it stays that way!).
In any case, the scent is already completely different from the version from 2019, although both versions have fruity notes, it’s just that the 2019 version had mangoes instead of figs.
I think it’s great that the figs can still be smelled later on, of course a bit weaker, but they are there and continue to smell good. So nothing becomes stuffy in the remaining scent progression. Otherwise, you smell the typical spicy notes that you know from all Angels. If you smell closely, you can even still detect that honey note, which, however, becomes weaker and had started off very weak anyway.
To the base, the scent mostly smells as described. It’s slightly fruity, spicy, and sweet (though upon closer sniffing it might seem a little chocolatey, but if it weren’t mentioned, I would never think of praline here).
A very nice scent!
The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is quite good, but nowhere near as strong as other Angel scents. Nevertheless, that’s okay, as you can be well-smelled without filling the surroundings with the scent for hours :D
For longevity, I would say at least seven to eight hours. That sounds less than typical Angel scents, yet the longevity is long.
The bottle:
You really don’t need to say much about Mugler bottles. Most look simply super and stand out from many other bottles. This one also has the typical star shape, now with beautiful green-blue-red color gradients, although the spray head is, as always, chrome-plated. As I said, a beautiful bottle.
Conclusion:
Wow, I really liked this scent. Strictly speaking, it’s not an absolute must-have, but still just a very nice scent! Moreover, it belongs to the few Angel scents that you can wear not only in autumn and winter but also on somewhat warmer days. It’s perfect for going out and looking nice, but you’ll never find out because you always ignore Mugler scents, ah ha ha, but maybe you’ll at least take a look at some Angels.
I particularly loved the fig note, which not only smelled very nice (and here without becoming stuffy) but also lasted quite long, which is rather rare with fig notes. Overall, the fruity touch is very welcome, which is why I also liked the previous Eau Croisière from 2019. So in my opinion, this scent here is worth a look!
I’m coming to an end now. I know that in this commentary I got a bit more worked up about you ladies again, but sometimes you leave me no choice! You women drive me absolutely crazy!!! :DDD
He he, well then, I wish you a nice evening and see you next time :)
