At night when the Orient awakens...
Pure Orient...Should be exactly mine, but unfortunately it's not, because the scent is too masculine for me personally, but I'll get to that later..

The fragrance is great, a feast for my nose. I see images in my head of Arabian sheiks all surrounded by a perfume cloud of 1001 night spices and delicacies. Dense and almost sultry, the scent spreads through the air as they flit past me almost silently in the evening under the oriental sky. My ever-present longing for the Orient is 100% awakened.

The opening has it all. Pistachios and cardamom, with the pistachios definitely in the foreground, are super strong and almost burning. A strong tart saffron note hovers like a thick blanket over the other spices. I'm not a big fan of the opening, but the drydown is a desert dream. In the drydown, the scratchiness disappears and the fragrance becomes sweeter and softer. A stunning mild honey note with a great dark tart rose caresses my nose. I have never smelled roasted nuts as a fragrance before but the nuts give the scent something very special in combination with a tart date note. I can't stop sniffing the fragrance. The fragrance has an insane progression where I really perceive every note from opening to base ..

In the base, sesame is very perceptible and vanilla gives the fragrance a touch of sweetness..

If I were a man, I would buy this fragrance immediately. For me it is an oriental masterpiece but in my opinion too harsh and too spicy for a woman, but that is purely a matter of taste.

Ipalat, Ipalat....
Wow, are the throat lozenges available to spray on now? Seriously : anyone who knows what Ipalat tastes like already has a good idea of what Halwa Kiss smells like :-)

Let's start with honey and.... no, fun, the "and" is omitted. It just starts ONLY with honey. Full broadside, nothing subtle and you would think that the top notes contain honey and honey absolute and East Laotian honey.

Enough of the bee vomit and my humor though : the honey note really dominates everything and I don't think that's a bad thing at all. I really like the scent, but I don't see myself wearing it. I would rather smell it on someone else than smell it myself. In the long run, this "spiky" sweetness would be a bit too much for me and it has a slight headache and toothache potential.

Personally, I would prefer a soft sweetness - the Grand Soir basically has the same qualities: very dominant sweetness, linear fragrance progression - just not this equally oppressive and pungent honey note
I've already said it: the fragrance progression is very linear, not much happens. After about twenty minutes, a sticky, cardboardy rose is pressed into your hand, but you can hardly really make it out because of the yellowish coating.

The fragrance is strong - but it doesn't project and doesn't have outstanding sillage, which I find rather positive because I don't think it's a crowdpleaser.

Despite its vehement appearance, the durability is also not as strong as one would expect. This is not necessarily a bad thing and sometimes even speaks for the high quality / naturalness of the raw materials used. Because I have to say one thing: nothing smells artificial or unnatural here! I recognize that this fragrance is very well crafted and certainly intended that way - I just personally find the result a little too linear, flat and brute in a very stylish way. Like a wooden club with gold inlays.

The bottle is simple and functional, I would have liked more.

I rated the P/L ratio 5 stars for all the reasons mentioned above.
Conclusion: if you want to smell like Winnie the Pooh after a binge, you'll find what you're looking for. For everyone else, Halwa Kiss might be a little too special. However, I couldn't give the Halwa Kiss less than 7 stars - it's too well made for that. Just not mine.

Sugar-sweet honey kiss
Sooo a nice sweet and very potent honey scent.
I find the progression quite linear, which is by no means a bad thing.
Right from the first spray you get the honey note in the nose, this beautiful fragrance is rounded off by well perceptible sesame and amber.
I find the fragrance very feminine.
I love it

Sweet,sticky one
A very sweet honey fragrance because it is accompanied by dates. I do not smell the pistachio and the sesame is discreet here.c is rather the cardamom that remains on the surface.nevertheless, for me it is really the date and honey that dominate.it is we'll blend for a heavy perfume.

Typically an oriental perfume (yes I know it is no longer said but that's it) quite heavy, it is already hot at home so I think it does not help, it is a nice gourmet somewhat thick and sticky but I am sure that in winter it will reveal a very beautiful facet.
My only disappointment is that it does not smell at all of halwa (sesame dessert of all my childhood)
For lovers of the genre it is to feel because it is still original.hate to feel it when the time will be less Clement

Sticky date kisses
This does not smell like halwa one bit, I get no sesame or pistachio, no nutty notes at all. But otherwise, I can't complain about it. What a beautiful, complex winter gourmand!

The opening is very spicy. I could have sworn I smelled cinnamon here, but apparently it's not in the official notes. Only saffron and cardamom, which makes sense when you know it, too. The sharp zing of saffron and the warm, sweet spiciness of cardamom together give a similar impression to cinnamon. This is not the medicinal or leathery kind of saffron scent though, so fear not if you don't like that.
The main notes are syrupy dates and deep vanilla. A hint of honey compliments the sticky texture of the dates, a dash of rose rounds the scent and adds complexity. This feels multilayered and slightly mysterious, unlike some other spicy gourmands that give off a basic holiday candle vibe. It turns beautifully balsamic on the skin in the drydown.

Halwa Kiss is very much an autumn and winter only scent to me though. Not necessarily only for Christmas time, I still would wear it right now in January, but once I get in the mood for spring, I would feel smothered by its warmth. Some might find it more reminiscent of the desert or the middle east, but my brain is conditioned to think of winter when I smell this kind of scent.
