Ojar was founded by entrepreneur Sheikha Hind Bahwan with the aim of combining Oman's rich culture and traditions with Western influences to create a modern oriental fragrance line.

Ojar's fragrances are inspired by the experiences and hospitality the founder encountered during her travels in the Middle East.

The term Ojar is derived from Hojari, a high-quality incense resin that originates in the Dhofar Mountains in Oman. Hojari is also known as Omani green frankincense and is an important ingredient in Ojar's fragrance compositions, which are strongly linked to the historical significance of the Sultanate.

Ojar is based in Dubai and deliberately develops all its fragrances to be gender-neutral. With this concept, the brand aims to reinforce its modern, cosmopolitan values.

Ojar fragrances are created in collaboration with international perfumers such as Jordi Fernández, Dalia Izem, Nanako Ogi, Michel Girard, and Gaël Montero.
