Well-Balanced Rose-Oud Fragrance with Violet
I hope all perfume lovers have entered the year 2024 well and healthy, and I’m starting the new year with a review of Ojar Stallion Soul. Already on the market for 2 years, this beautiful fragrance has not even received 60 reviews. It clearly flies under the radar. The two fragrances Infusion Velours Eau de Parfum and Wood Whisper Eau de Parfum from the Ojar brand are somewhat better known. Overall, this brand from Dubai is worth checking out, as it appears extremely high-quality and does not seem excessively overpriced.

Purchased in December, I got the 15ml version that was on sale at the time. Otherwise, the 15ml costs €50 and the 100ml is around €200 if you don’t take advantage of a sale. A fair price, especially if you can get a 10-20% discount. I also like the 15ml offer, as it allows for extensive testing before deciding on a larger size. Unfortunately, it’s a bit pricey on a per ml basis.
The bottles are quite stylish, and the travel spray comes with a nice cover. The box looks extremely elegant and simply has a luxurious appearance.

It is said that this Stallion Soul bears similarities to the highly hyped "Ombre Nomade | Louis Vuitton." I can’t fully agree with that, even though these two fragrances have some commonalities. I find this Stallion Soul to be significantly more sensual and not as overpowering, which I quite like.
Stallion Soul is, for me, a perfectly balanced fragrance that showcases a bit of everything: noble flowers, light oriental notes, stylish leather, pleasant spice, and subtle sweetness.
The main player in this creation is clearly the rose. For the first few hours, the rose is always in the foreground. For me, it’s a very noble and not overly feminine rose. Rather, it’s a beautiful dark rose, which fits better in the evening. A wonderful violet note accompanies it. A great note that often gets overlooked. This rose-violet blend is already very distinctive and interesting. Leather is added, which fortunately does not overshadow the rose-violet but harmonizes beautifully in the background. Especially the first 3 hours, for me, this is a wonderfully balanced fragrance with a lot of sex appeal. After that, this fragrance becomes a bit darker, especially as the rose-violet begins to fade. Dark patchouli, leather, musk, oud, and also a subtle sweetness come to the forefront. A great dark mix.
Overall, for me, it’s an absolute feel-good fragrance without being too ordinary. Unisex is justified, even though it will likely have more male fans. With this beautiful dark DNA, it is perfect for wearing in the evening or at night.
The performance is good, but it cannot compete with fragrances like Ombre Nomade. However, I think that’s a good thing. A great companion that projects well beyond the skin. A fragrance that leaves a serious impression. The longevity is also convincing, with a minimum of 10 hours of wear.

An 8.6 is absolutely justified, but it deserves a bit more spotlight. Let’s see if one day it will be the 100ml or if it stays at the 15ml.

Treasure Hunt in a Sea of Blossoms
Waving leaves of dark rose petals - so unsweet, yes, a hint of soap.
Peppered violet sinks down - I wander in thought over flower meadows.

Every pollen, every seed, flower dust tickles finely in my nose.
Flowers upon flowers of every color and hue, my flower heart beats in ecstasy.

On the dark ground of patchouli, fine tendrils curl and twist.
Dense mist of cool incense, in which jasmine blossoms bathe.

In the midst of this sea of blossoms, he who seeks will find a chest of foreign treasures.
Fine, dark woods in leather pouches, velvety soft, alongside tempting vanilla pods to indulge in.

But hidden in the last pouch made of suede leather.
There lies a hint of soft musk fluff like a shooting star's trail.

Fin.

Actually, I wanted to start testing some Ojars about half a year ago, but due to the mass of samples that have accumulated with me, and a little creative break, I am only getting around to it now. So be it - I will kick off with Ojar's Stallion Soul. I expected a distinctly oud-focused scent with beautiful incense accents, rough leather, a lot of musk, and some flowers. But what revealed itself to me during my tests was miles away from that. To put it briefly, Stallion Soul presents itself as a very floral fragrance consisting of a slightly darker, not too sweet rose, a lot of violet, and very pleasant jasmine. A hint of incense and delicate suede leather contrast the pleasing floral mix until, from hour to hour, a lighter musk, sweeter patchouli, a trace of vanilla, and a hint of "oud" join in. I was a bit disappointed by the dosage and the nature of the latter-mentioned ingredient. Considering that Stallion Soul originates from Ojar's oud line, I had expected a bit more here. Instead, one gets a diffuse mix of dark woods. All in all, Stallion Soul is a very well-balanced and well-composed floral mix with a slight oriental touch, which manages to convince through its unobtrusiveness and gentleness in everyday applications.

The Light OSM
The next fragrance from the young brand Ojar has been ordered.
After testing and immediately purchasing the "Infusion Velours (Eau de Parfum) | Ojar," I ordered a sample of the "Stallion Soul (Eau de Parfum) | Ojar."

After applying the first sprays, I thought I had smelled this fragrance before.
I just couldn't place it.
It is very cool, leathery, rosy, and the incense is beautifully integrated.

For me, this fragrance is the light and little brother of the "Oud Satin Mood (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian."
It feels lighter, more elegant, and more beautiful than the OSM.

Sillage and longevity are also very good.
One must say that Ojar has done a great job here once again!

Stallion Soul I The Refined Ombre Nomade for Gentlemen
Ombre Nomade is a great fragrance, and of course, it can be worn in everyday life, but let's be honest: it is edgy, loud, and can be a bit confrontational. Stallion Soul Eau de Parfum is the answer for all those who celebrate the ON DNA but want to use it more often in daily life. A present "understatement" fragrance that carries this oriental DNA but interprets it a little differently, making it suitable for the office and everyday wear.

Now, let's get to the fragrance itself:
- Stallion Soul Eau de Parfum opens with a beautiful introduction of slightly bitter incense combined with gentle rose and sharp, fresh pepper. The violet contributes very well; it is slightly green but also velvety and powdery, giving the fragrance a lovely lightness and powderiness at the beginning, which loosens up this ON DNA.

- Very soon, a super soft leather joins in, which actually works subtly throughout. The oud is more wood-oriented and absolutely not animalic; even together with the leather, it does not come off as confrontational as "Ombre Nomade | Louis Vuitton." Presumably, the gentle musk in the background contributes to this, or perhaps the vanilla. In any case, the fragrance in its further development is similar to the ON DNA but much softer, rounder, and more balanced. One perceives little of Cypriol; it must be very marginally present because the fragrance does not exhibit those strong fluctuations that Cypriol sometimes triggers, like in Promise Parfum (that somewhat animalic aspect), perhaps subtly this minimal smokiness that lingers in "Stallion Soul (Eau de Parfum) | Ojar."

- The longevity and sillage are really very good here, actually fitting for the positioning of this fragrance, as it is very perceptible in the air and projects well, but it never becomes overwhelming like with "Ombre Nomade | Louis Vuitton."

In summary, a truly great release, an understatement fragrance for oriental lovers who want to use this DNA in everyday life, whether in the office or generally in daily life.

Stalion Araber
At night in the Arabian desert by the campfire, there he sits drinking his chai.
A gentle breeze blows, and you can smell the scent of true masculinity in the air.

Rose, leather, and oud dominate a beautiful sound in the nose.

There he sits, the son of the desert, enjoying his own sillage from the air that smells of him.

For a stallion's soul, it's far too tame and shy.
I expected stable, fur, animalistic strength.
But it's more floral with a hint of earth.

Delicate floral, musky soft, with jasmine and patchouli clearly alongside the rose. Beautiful, but not extraordinary and in my opinion rather feminine.

Subtle and office-friendly, this oriental fragrance starts off quite pleasant for the first quarter hour, then turns into a horse spirit in pony attire.

A good alternative to LV ON :)
I'm not a huge fan of ON, but I like Stallion Soul, it's softer and more wearable :)

A fantastic scent, so far the best from Ojar. Reminds me a bit of a mix between Widian London and Oud Satin Mood.

A ménage à trois of leather, oud, and flowers. Unique DNA. As an oriental, it's more than successful: seductive with 0% intrusiveness.

Rose Oud scent in a bright floral robe. Interesting twist. However, I miss the punch to truly come off as a stallion.

Famous DNA reinterpreted. Beautiful rose-oud with its own twist. However, I can't fully agree on the longevity, just a 7.

Really beautiful thing. At first, it might not appeal to everyone, but as it develops, it's just wonderful.
