Guidance minus the nuttiness
Ok now I understand why people say this is similar to Guidance Eau de Parfum….

Solar Flair doesn’t live up to the hype for me. It’s nice, but I’m disappointed by it. It lacks originality. I was expecting “Sunshine in a bottle” and wanted to smell the listed notes, but instead all I smell is a less vibrant Guidance minus the nuttiness. I personally find Solar Flair a bit weaker, less balanced and duller/flatter in comparison. Guidance Eau de Parfum is the winner for me as I feel it’s has a little bit more of a luminance and uniqueness about it.

I carried out a little experiment out of curiosity. I applied one spray of Guidance to my left arm and one spray of Solar Flair to my right arm before leaving for work at 5:30pm. I haven’t topped up either. It’s now almost 3am and both scents are still going strong. I asked my partner and a few colleagues to blindly compare both. All agreed these were very similar, but they all found Solar Flair to be stronger. It’s funny comparing the difference in ratings for both considering this. Only one person out of the 5 people I asked preferred Solar Flair.

If you’re looking at Solar Flair, expecting it to smell like the note pyramid and already know what Guidance smells like, I think like me you’ll be disappointed. It’s impossible to deny the close similarities. If you liked Guidance but disliked the hazelnut note, Solar Flair is the one for you.

The Floral Honey
After I really liked "Halwa Kiss (Eau de Parfum) | Ojar," I blindly purchased this one after reading the fragrance pyramid.
First off… I would advise everyone to get a sample first.
The perfume is good, but it is different than (at least for me) expected.
About the scent:
It starts with a slightly spicy, floral mandarin due to the pepper and heliotrope.
The honey is already subtly present in the background.
Over time, the mandarin recedes into the background, making way for the honeysuckle and especially the osmanthus, and the scent becomes floral-sweet. The osmanthus is and remains the most prominent note, which lasts until the end. After some time in the drydown, the vanilla also makes an appearance, which harmonizes wonderfully with the honey. The honey continues to accompany the scent, giving it a certain sweetness and a bit of gourmand quality... however, one must say that those expecting a honey bomb like Halwa Kiss Eau de Parfum or Oajan will likely be disappointed.
The honey is indeed a constant companion, but (probably due to the connection with the musk) it is rather in a light/bright form. Additionally, the patchouli ensures that the honey doesn’t become too sweet.
On my skin, the scent unfortunately becomes very quickly only perceptible close to the skin and increasingly lighter.
Nevertheless, I can definitely recommend it to lovers of osmanthus and honey scents, give it a try.
As a small addendum:
The perfume is indeed unisex, but it does have a rather feminine touch.

Summer
When I first applied the fragrance, I didn't want to stop smelling it.
I have never experienced a scent that smells like Ojar Solar Flair.

The fragrance always reminds me of a hot summer day at the beach in Spain or Italy. Lying in the sun and enjoying the time while the sun tans you.
Why does it remind me of that?
Because I find that the scent on my skin smells very much like sunscreen.
However, not like a regular sunscreen but like a sweet, creamy, and slightly fruity sunscreen.

The scent lasts on me for at least 7-8 hours and is truly a masterpiece.
Unfortunately, the fragrance is very unknown, which is a shame because I am sure many would like it.

For me, the scent is simply the definition of summer and beach vacation.

If you are looking for a summer fragrance that you don't smell on every corner, try Ojar Solar Flair.

Great sweet-creamy honey for the sunny hours of the year
Solar Flair from the brand Ojar was a fragrance I had my eye on right after its release in 2024. Now I finally have it, and I’m glad to have it in my collection. This fragrance is part of the Honey Collection, making it the second scent in this line after Halwa Kiss Eau de Parfum. Halwa Kiss is also cool, but it leans more towards the gourmand-warm direction and is more suited for colder days. Solar Flair, on the other hand, goes in a completely different direction, as you can already tell from the name and somewhat from the fragrance notes. Nevertheless, it is something for those who do not want to completely forgo sweetness in the warm seasons. It is a wonderful blend of a warm-sweet and well-groomed honey sweetness and a fresh-creamy note that also has a lovely sunscreen vibe. In my opinion, this brand, which is based in Dubai, delivers great quality and fragrances that remain memorable, just like this one.

The fragrances in the range are available in 15 and 100ml. A large bottle is worth it, as this scent is quite uncomplicated and can easily be used as a daily fragrance. It slightly reminds me of Guidance Eau de Parfum, but it is noticeably fresher and easier to integrate into everyday life. In terms of price, these fragrances are usually available at a uniform price of €200 for 100ml. This is acceptable for the quality, though I sometimes wait for good discount promotions.
The bottle and packaging are of high quality. The box is not overly opulent and thus appears elegant yet friendly. The bottles, including the sprayer, are also high-quality and work flawlessly. The color is unmistakably reminiscent of honey, similar to Halwa Kiss.
Solar Flair lives up to its name and offers a great freshness concept that gets a wonderful warm touch from honey without being too heavy. In the opening, you get a lovely heliotrope note that is quite sweet and paired with mandarin, adds a great fruity component. The osmanthus also brings a wonderful fruity-floral note that works very well in summer. There is also a slight spiciness present in this creation, but it is very subtle and mild. It is positioned behind the sweet-creamy-fruity-floral notes. What gives this fragrance its charm? Those wonderful creamy notes with that sweet-warm honey DNA. The base notes are quite active throughout the entire duration: honey, vanilla, and light clean musk. The creation is overall very bright and clean, so I see this scent more for daylight and even sunny weather. Not just in warm or hot temperatures, but overall in the sun. Solar Flair manages the twist of warm-creamy notes and floral-fruity freshness very well. The fragrance is very easy to wear and is also very unisex, like everything from Ojar.
Performance is absolutely in the positive range. Longevity is around 8-9 hours. Sillage is in the medium to good range, so it is noticeable but does not overwhelm people.

Overall, this is a fragrance I can highly recommend. Even though summer is over, this scent would also fit well in this mild autumn sun. Overall, it is a fragrance that has little risk in terms of mass appeal, yet is still somehow special.

Today I'm wearing Solar Flair
A small sample has been lingering with me for a while, and today is the day. After 4 gray, dark days, I was in the mood for something sunny, light, something cheerful and tender. A fragrance should catapult me into summer. And Solar Flair has to be able to do that, right?

Hmm, what Solar Flair is not is a light summer fragrance. It is a creamy, dense composition that reminds me more of "Sunshine Woman | Amouage." I don’t find it fresh, not even in the top notes. Instead, I smell a sweet orange, mandarin, and an oriental dessert, something like syrup-soaked baklava. Pink pepper does not come through for me.

The fruity opening did not convince me. That’s something I've encountered often and is not my preference. But the fragrance changes quite quickly. A warm honey note comes in, along with a deep, creamy note that lingers longer. The overripe fruit disappears, and heliotrope adds a warm, vanilla-like base with a touch of elegant powderiness, so the jammy notes have no chance to show off. They are beautifully restrained. And I can actually smell osmanthus, creamy and floral. I like it more and more.

The typically niche wood synthetic is present in the base, but the usual alcoholic note is not here, which gives me hope.

The syrupy opening reminds me a bit of "Sunshine Woman | Amouage," while the base has something of "Guidance (Eau de Parfum) | Amouage," but I can't say why, maybe the sweetened Akigalawood?

Clearly, Solar Flair is not a loud fragrance, but it has the potential to be loved by many and could easily be worn anywhere. A characteristic that is often mocked as a “crowd pleaser,” but that is precisely the greatest power of fragrances - to please so they can be worn and bring joy to people. I believe this fragrance can do that.

I already own Halwas Kiss, but that fragrance is often too dense, too strong, too piercing, and too masculine for me. This one I like: a wearable version of an oriental gourmand and clearly feminine for me.

And Solar Flair suits my skin, developing very sweet but also fluffy and creamy, not piercingly woody. Maybe it’s a candidate for purchase after all?

Indefinable creamy, fruity cocktail. For me personally it smells rather cheap and after 3 hours on my skin it's barely even there anymore

Sun-yellow flowers with golden nectar. Actually a bit like Amouage's Guidance without the nutty notes. But the heliotrope is too much.

Beautiful sweet, sunny floral drizzled in honey. Not for me, but a standout floral.

Early summer.
Warm, sun-kissed skin.
Peach ice cream on vanilla sauce,
topped with sweet-spicy honey.
Enchantingly beautiful.

Delicate, bright flower honey, clear as sunlight. If Halwa Kiss is the night, then this honey is a brilliantly shining day.

Summer, sun, honey.

Incredibly well-balanced blend of creamy and fresh, it lifts my spirits and brings compliments. I don't smell Guidance here.
