I'm surprised that this amazing fragrance hasn't received a review yet. It definitely deserves one, especially since it has been on the market for about 3 years now. A few statements and a good rating here at 8.0 already indicate that this is a very good release. I find the brand Ojar from the UAE to be quite underrated. They have a cool range that includes not only exclusively oriental fragrances like other brands from Dubai. The fragrances
Infusion Velours Eau de Parfum and
Wood Whisper Eau de Parfum are somewhat more popular, while the others from this brand are often overlooked. I also find
Stallion Soul Eau de Parfum and this
Ciel d'Orage Eau de Parfum to be very, very good; Stallion Soul is even my favorite from this brand. A high-quality brand that also sells body oil and perfume oil. The MSRP for the EdPs may seem a bit daunting at €200 for 100ml, but most can be found for half that price. This Ciel d'Orage is currently available for half price, which is absolutely fair given the quality.
The packaging of this brand is cool and not too bulky, yet luxurious and definitely niche. The bottles are also top-notch and very well made. The cap fits perfectly, and the glass is of high quality. The color combinations also appear extremely elegant. The atomizer is buttery smooth and for me, it's a 10 out of 10. Overall, including the price-performance ratio, it's a great choice.
This Ciel d'Orage is truly a multi-talent that combines many facets: wood, spices, herbs, rose, a bit of oud, smoke, oriental notes, and green nuances. Moreover, this fragrance is never too heavy and can easily be worn in warmer temperatures. Thanks to the herbs and green notes, it has a light wellness touch. Primarily, I see this being suitable for autumn temperatures and also in the evening. It has a rather masculine touch, and it is mainly men who will be interested in this fragrance. However, it is not unwearable for women. The pyramid is only partially reflected, and blind buys are rather bold. If you like herbal-spicy fragrances, the chance is quite high that you will enjoy this scent. From the very beginning, you get herbs and spices with a slight oriental flair. A pleasant saffron spice, herbs, rose, subtle oud, and slightly smoky notes greet you in the opening. This is never too heavy and doesn't overwhelm. As the top note recedes a bit, a wonderful pine note comes through, providing a great green and relaxing vibe. Beautiful guaiac wood also shines through nicely and accompanies this wonderful spicy-herbaceous-green note. Leather also comes through well, but is more in the background. Very soft leather that has a very sensual touch. Smoky styrax is also present and has a relaxing and slightly sweet vibe. The drydown is definitely very pleasant. Overall, a fragrance that exudes elegance and is far removed from the common bestseller styles.
The performance here is absolutely top-notch. Clearly over 10 hours of longevity with a very, very good sillage that gives relaxing vibes and doesn't overwhelm. A worry-free package, especially when you are outdoors.
It's worth testing this one. As mentioned, one should enjoy herbs, spices, light smoke, wood, and oriental notes. A worthwhile purchase at half the MSRP.
