Mongolian Mriga by Prin

As always, amazing release by Prin. It hits a home run in every department. From the fragrance to performance to sillage and uniqueness, it's a top notch fragrance. I love it ️

It opens up with balsamic notes, some tar and loads of untamed, raw musk which is the heart of the fragrance. It's animalic, rough around edges and screams power throughout.

Around an hour or so, you get beautiful rose and Jasmine and choya ral is absolutely gorgeous, smokey, leathery, dry woody with some amber undertones.

The dry down is all Oud and Musk, there is no alternative of real Musk, and this is prime example right here. It do get some patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood but show stopper has to be the Musk.

I, for no reason, would open the bottle and sniff it and smile. One of those fragrances which would make you happy.

The performance of this is exceptional, with mind blowing sillage. I can't pin point a single issue with this fragrance.

If you haven't tried it, it's worth a shot for sure.

Dirty and untamed

Upon first impression, it does have the Mriga DNA but it has a warm animalic oud tone to it, not the same light muskiness as Mriga. It really is a more untamed version with a strong oud note, reminding me of the oud note in FM The Night. There is a cheesy aspect to this oud accord but there is still a little bit of lightness to this. Recommend for fans of animalic musk/oud combos.

Earthy and chocolaty deer musk

Mriga in Thai means dee, and here the REAL deer is absolute protagonist!
Mongolian Mriga represents the evolution of the basic version (Mriga): deer musk from Mongolia, wild Burmese oud, Yuzu oil, Choya Raal absolute, clary sage absolute and more are the elements that distinguish it from its little brother.
As soon as it is vaporized, the power of deer musk seeps into your nose.
Wild, warm, pungent, untamed.
Soon after, balsamic and dark green hints begin to dance together.
The deer musk is sensational! It has earthy, chocolatey, almost sweet undertones! This is accentuated by the fact that these pods are most likely not fresh but vintage since this type of deer is very endangered and therefore absolutely forbidden to be hunted.
The type of oud used also contributes to these amber, woody and earthy nuances.
Prin confirms himself as a nose and creator with immense talent: he manages to assemble fragrances rich in notes and raw materials making them perfectly balanced and easily wearable!

PS. Due to the limited availability of these raw materials (especially oud oil and Mongolian deer musk) only 150 bottles were produced.

Deer Musk en su hábitat

Mi primer perfume con Deer musk, ya había tenido acercamientos a esta materia prima con Oud Zhen, Russian Oud II, Sunset in Assam, etc. pero es primera vez que lo pruebo en una composición donde sea protagonista. Es abrumante, espectacular, tiene una parte verde, que te hace sentir en un bosque, estás inmerso y cada segundo que pasa el Musk se nota más, es tener al ciervo acercándose. Me encanta, es espectacular, una gran obra de Prin.
