Ginger Zinger
I just got the Zimaya Mazaaj Infused a few days ago, which is supposedly a LV Imagination Clone. So thought to review this so people can get an idea.

Disclaimer: i haven't smelt the OG as i am too poor for that stuff, so this is review is singularly based on how I percieve this fragrance.

This opens up with bright airy citruses along with a faint orange note. This is backed by ginger from the mid which gives it a minty feel to the whole scent character with a foral facet coming from neroli. The resulting scent is very bright and sharp owing to that ginger which doesn't come across in a very pleasant way; furthermore, the ambroxan in the base adds to this sharpness but does help the bright and uplifting feel of the scent profile. This develops slightly as the scent dries off, with the frankincense and slight woody undertone coming into play; but the scent never really loses its brightness with the ginger pumping off relentlessly.

The performance is decent, I had applied this in the morning at around 09:00 and i could smell it on my hand till about 15:00, so roughly about 6 hours till it completely vanished off my skin. I was getting whiffs of it for the first 2-3 hours so i guess the projection os decent for aleast 1.5-2 hours. This was my first wearing and it may improve further as the scent matures eventually in the future.

Overall, i think it's a nice scent for someone whos into super bright citrusy and airy scent profile with a minty/zesty feel to it. I personally am not super impressed as I find the ginger a little too overbearing in the entire scent character, which ideally should not be a bad thing but the ginger here comes across as rather pungent and sharp. I hope this soothes out eventually as the scent matures and the notes harmonizes with each other. For now this is a like, but i hope it turns into more.

Finale des Tee-Athlon
In the final comparison test:

- Mazaaj Infused
- Art of Arabia I
- Imagination aka. OG

First discipline - strip test:
Three strips are ready, and off we go.

The OG and Mazaaj Infused start almost identically with a very refreshing, slightly sharp ginger note, while the tea scent remains in the background. In contrast, the Art of Arabia I has barely detectable ginger notes, but instead offers a fruity-fresh note that strongly reminds one of "Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes (Eau de Parfum) | Zara." This one didn't quite make it to the final due to its longevity.
The scent notes remain quite consistent among the 3 finalists, so we move on to the second discipline - skin test:
In the warm-up round, we still have the familiar scents from the first discipline. But then they start to diverge.
The Mazaaj Infused leans more towards a spicy-woody, somewhat musty direction, which likely reflects the mentions of Ambroxan.
The Art of Arabia I remains fairly consistent with its fruity-fresh composition after initial light ginger nuances, almost a bit boring.
In contrast, the Imagination clearly showcases its superiority - it develops powerfully from its refreshing ginger note into a delicious tea blend.

Award ceremony:
The Imagination wins the final decisively. Masterpiece.
The Mazaaj Infused is a successful low-budget alternative if one can live with compromises, especially on the skin. For those who prefer something fruitier, the Art of Arabia I might be a suitable option.

a synthetic fantasy...
For this review, I would like to take a small detour...

Many interested parties for this fragrance are probably looking for an LV Imagination clone, and in my opinion, clone reviews usually follow a very similar structure. I hope I don't lose my readers here, but I think it's important to take this detour in order to make a proper assessment of the fragrance.

Well, first of all, clone reviews address how closely the clone resembles the original, and subjective percentages are mentioned. I have several clones on my shelf and would claim: While exceptions confirm the rule - because they do exist - if you test the fragrances side by side, the following can be said here as well:

Is the clone as good as the original? No, it is not. Does it capture the fragrance DNA well? Yes, it does. You can clearly recognize what the clone is supposed to be.

The next argument usually follows with: For this price and thus x% of the original, you really can't go wrong. The fragrance also smells significantly more expensive than the €20 it actually costs. So it follows: Really great perfume, super price-performance.
Well, wait a moment... You do get proportionally more performance for the price compared to the original. However, it must be clearly stated: The level of the original is not reached! One must be aware of this in order to evaluate the fragrance later. Here, the Pareto principle applies: 80% of the result can usually be achieved with 20% of the effort. However, to reach the remaining 100%, you have to pay for the remaining 20% with 80% more performance.

Therefore, the comparison to LV Imagination is, in my opinion, unfair to Mazaaj Infused when truly evaluating the fragrance. Sure, price-performance is great, but that doesn't factor into the quality of the fragrance. One simply has to ask themselves how much the whole thing is worth to them. Those who really want Imagination will probably have to reach for LV. Those who can live with compromises might find peace in clones.

In my opinion, this fragrance should therefore be viewed independently of its idol. It is not bad even then! If you don't force this comparison, you might simply find a fragrance that you really like.

So, how is Mazaaj Infused then?

You get a citrus-fresh fragrance that is underpinned by a certain synthetic sharpness. Often, citrus and synthetics together create a sort of cat litter aroma, but I don't get that here, as the tea association rounds off the accord. The fragrance comes off the skin very sharply and actually develops linearly. This may not sound particularly good, but the fragrance is overall pleasing and pleasant, and I would rather call the overall package honest. I rated the fragrance with a 6.5, but that is because I pay attention to ensuring that the distances on the rating scale between all rated fragrances are consistent. In this overall series, I simply cannot rate it higher.

In my review and the rating, it may not seem like it, but I actually like it! I do think it's a fragrance that can be worn well and gladly, and I enjoy having it in my collection!

Thank goodness, a happy ending after all...

Summer Can Come
For me, so far, the best interpretation of Imagination. I love the fact that the tea is especially noticeable in the DD. Citrusy notes and ginger race against each other while refreshing with cool tea. I would even wish for even more tea, but it's really well done, so thumbs up.

H|S slightly above average. It lasts well for 7 hours and projects nicely at first to a full arm's length and from hour 3 to half an arm's length. I rate the longevity of my fragrances as follows: 1 hour = 1 longevity.

Conclusion: Super alternative. I will buy it again and again. P|L unbeatable.

Another Imagination Dupe
It's time again to report on an alternative to "Imagination | Louis Vuitton." It took a while, and now pretty much every brand has its "clone" of this bestseller from LV. It's of course a cash cow, and for every brand, having a fragrance in this style is a valuable addition to their lineup. By now, I have countless fragrances with this DNA in my collection and have tested quite a few. My verdict is that there isn't really an adequate alternative. Even though some do their job really well, there are always a few percentages missing to reach the charm of the original. Nevertheless, there are great alternatives that provide a wonderful preview. I received this Mazaaj Infused as a gift, and for me, it's already one of the better ones in this direction. Here too, there are no really deviating notes like, for example, the mint note in "Art of Arabia I | Lattafa Pride." A wonderful soft freshness that is simply extremely pleasant and easy to wear. Zimaya is anyway a brand that flies a bit under the radar. This brand from Dubai offers great dupes at fair prices and can compete with other brands from this city.

In terms of price, this fragrance is on the fair side at around €30 for 100ml. It's definitely a great freshie that you can't go wrong with. Expectations for similarity to the LV should not be too high, of course. The packaging and bottle make a good impression, and the bottle fits this fresh appearance.
The scent is of course recognizable from the start as an Imagination dupe. However, the similarity is not such that it would be confusingly similar, especially to a trained nose. For laypeople, this fragrance does go in a very similar direction. This Mazaaj Infused particularly shines in the air. The first half hour is a bit uneven, which settles down, and this fragrance becomes soft with this wonderful tea freshness paired with the citrus notes from the top note and also a great fresh ginger spice. I find it very rounded after the first 30-45 minutes. This soft wood-ambroxan base also convinces me, as it nicely and softly rounds off the combination of tea, ginger, and citrus notes. Very harmonious and not a cheap knockoff. I really like it, especially when the scent is in the air.
Performance, of course, cannot compete with the expensive original, but it doesn't have to. This fragrance is a great affordable alternative for the meantime. This scent could last 5-6 hours. The sillage is medium to mild, in a pleasant range. Overall, very satisfactory for the price range and this fresh DNA.

Overall, a great alternative. With too high expectations, one might be disappointed. This DNA is already well captured, and it has something lively and possesses a cool lightness with citrus, tea, ginger, and ambroxan. Thumbs up.

I don’t recommend buying this fragrance. Smells like cheap washing powder. If the OG smells like this LV would go broke

A really great alternative to Imagination with a fantastic citrus-tea-ginger DNA. It comes pretty close & is top for this price.

The opening is very synthetic, but the dry down is simply dreamy. 98% similarity to Imagination. Very successful, top-notch.

For me, it's a modern interpretation of 4711. A bit deeper, dirtier, and creamier in the dry down. Ginger comes across very dry and woody.

A great clone of LV Imagination. The projection is strong in the first hour, then becomes more intimate. For this price, there's nothing better!

I had hoped to find a good alternative to Imagination by LV with this scent, but unfortunately disappointed - too synthetic and sharp.

Imagination, Art of Arabia 1, Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes and then you arrive. Too spicy for me, H/S is at best mediocre.

Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes Eau de Parfum on steroids… "Do we still have Ambroxan?" - "…nope, the whole shipment is in!"

Has nothing to do with imagination, more like a bad Zara Sunrise version. This one is more similar to that.
