Perfume anomaly

The opening smells very metallic, it is definitely more aggressive and chemical than Ganymede. Stallion reminds me of the smell of a clean, freshly washed room. The scent is more leathery and less mineral than Ganymede, both scents share common DNA, but it's hard to call Stallion a close clone, and I guess that's how it was meant to be.

Longevity is almost 10 hours, projection fades terribly after an hour and becomes very close to the skin. In fact, after two hours it is difficult to talk about enjoying the scent, because it is practically absent. It is definitely less pleasant to smell, it does not attract the nose to the hand like Gany.

I was disappointed, even though I bought it for $15 and it has good reviews, but in my opinion it is not a good clone. The scent itself resembles a wet rag after washing the floor (surprisingly, this scent is addictive).

Nobody can smell you in space...

...so we'll just carry you down here. So there it is: an available, affordable dupe to Ganymede Eau de Parfum. Since I'm a science fiction fan, the name of its model alone - chosen after one of Saturn's moons - piqued my interest when I first read it. Without having smelled the original or the clone, I blindly ordered the latter for less than 15€. On the one hand, my expectations were very high due to the descriptions I had read, but on the other hand, they were rather low due to the very reasonable price, although Lattafa proves that you can also sell very reasonable juice for little money. Can Zimaya do the same with the Stallion? To stay in space jargon: Mission Accomplished!

When I first wore it, I wondered whether the fragrance was fresh and leathery or leathery and fresh (with the emphasis on the second attribute). Now that it has landed on my skin and clothes more often, I'm definitely going with the former: yes, it has fresh, latent shower-gel elements, but after opening, they never manage to drown out the leather. In my opinion, the fruitiness is the third accord in the group; we are talking about orange or mandarin, but not lime or bergamot, with very little sweetness. In my opinion, this accord is not particularly pronounced, but it functions perfectly as a link between the fresh shower gel and the leather. And this leather note has it all! In the pyramid, it is described as suede and I think that is absolutely right. It is noticeably different from those in other leather fragrances I have smelled so far, it seems less polished or processed, but more raw, more primal. Admittedly, suede, shower gel and oranges don't sound particularly otherworldly, but the interplay of the three creates a very dedicated aura: Stallion smells strange, cool, artificial (not in the sense of synthetic, but like a composition or alloy that doesn't come from this place), partly metallic, partly organic and thus cyborg-like, repellent-arrogant, if this cyborg could convey feelings, let alone feel them. And I think it's great!

The Stallion also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of performance. It projects strongly enough to be heard without being too intrusive, which could probably happen quickly with stronger projection due to the characteristics described above. It can also hold its own against stronger (mainstream) fragrances thanks to its different nature and its longevity is above average. For me, it works best in temperatures between 10 and 20°C, combined with a thin, black leather jacket and a generally dark to all-black outfit. In the office, I only see it on an executive, but it could also work there due to the fresh elements it contains.

I was a little disappointed with the bottle at first, as it is largely kept in a completely unspectacular gray, which very much shapes the first impression. However, now that I have internalized the fragrance, the color fits perfectly. It does not represent boredom at all, but rather aloofness and intangibility. In my opinion, the horse theme in the choice of name and design would not have been necessary, even if it is quite striking overall: the black metal cap is reminiscent of blacksmith's work in a paddock, the label is matt black and slightly rough, with the profile of a smooth, shiny horse's head, plus the discreet lettering in red and silver. Yes, you can do it that way, and yes, it's okay to associate horses with suede. What's more, the entire bottle weighs a considerable amount, but can be lifted easily and securely by the tight-fitting cap. An amazingly high quality.

Don't be put off by the price of this fragrance, Zimaya really delivers here! I can't say whether it is an alternative for fans of Ganymede Eau de Parfum, as I have unfortunately not yet smelled it, but my curiosity about it has been fueled even further by the Stallion. And until the opportunity arises to reach for the stars, or in this case moons, I'll just wear this one.

Suit, office with leather armchair and stallion

The second fragrance from the Arab world that made it into my shopping cart was Stallion by Zimaya.

I received the fragrance and was initially surprised by the massive bottle. Sprayed and a little irritated at first. Very powerful fragrance, very room-filling, very present.

I can well imagine that many people will not like this fragrance, but that others will be delighted, which is why I am not surprised about the 7.6 for the fragrance. I belong to the second category. I like the Stallion, I actually associate it with a businessman and owner of a small but successful company who only wears classic suits, generally has a lot of leather components in his office and tends to avoid anything mainstream.

Durability... Felt eternal so really long + good aftertaste.

Sillage: Fragrance is present and room-filling as mentioned above.

Bottle: high quality without much fuss. Lid very interesting design. Reminds me a bit of the seal of the Swiss bank with the three letters.

Price performance: absolute cheapy under 20 euros but performance for which you would have to pay ten to fifteen times as much in the niche sector. As always, you can argue about the fragrance itself

My Seat Ibiza becomes a Maserati with full leather interior for €18

My best friend always says when I wear the fragrance that it reminds him of a good AXE deodorant at the beginning, youthful, initially a little masculine and fresh but not super complex. After a while, but quite quickly, a very strong and beautiful leather and saffron note comes through, smells wonderfully high-quality and masculine - it suddenly reminds me of Ganymede Eau de Parfum.

I didn't realize at first that the fragrance would change so much. When I got it I sprayed it on, immediately thought it smelled fresh and good but nothing special, then had to drive somewhere quickly and during the drive I thought "OMG, what smells so incredibly good like leather in extremely expensive" and thought it was my stepfather's sinfully expensive coats that I had put in my car days before. In my Seat Ibiza, I felt like I was in a Maserati with a full leather interior driven by a stylish Arab. I thought to myself, I have to ask my stepfather what perfume he uses, I really need it. The next day I put my clothes back on from the day before and suddenly smelled the scent again and realized, f*ck that's this 18€ perfume ... i was really shocked.

My reaction was of course to order a bottle immediately - for me an absolute insider tip for all those who simply like it fresh, leathery with saffron.

It has become one of my favorite fragrances over the last few months.

Absolutely no time and nerves for it...

The little uneducated and confused pony has to grow and eat well first, so I give it to the stable master. Swapped and brought here for good foals, my expectations were low, it was simply weak in a group full of gorgeous youngsters that were otherwise moving in.

It was 8 p.m. and the stable manager caught sight of me, slightly annoyed....
Where is the ill-bred one, I asked. Stop being so superficial, he replied...at the back left, isolated, he added, as you asked.

I walked over and couldn't stop my bewilderment at how disrespectfully he said that, opened the small gate and turned to face him who ran after me....

If you are that disrespectful again then you can look for a new job, it was enough for him and he took a "swing", a very precisely placed one from below, as one of the previous speakers would say "uppercut clamps" should overtake me!
Aimed but not precise enough, it slipped just past my biased skull...directly into the privates of the suddenly "it was 8:15pm" fully grown "Shire Horse"!

A return ticket was sold out and damn is it nice, I want to stay here...wherever I am!

This wonderful creature can proudly take its place next to its slightly larger brother, it may not have this incredibly complex fur, it may not necessarily have this mystical aura of an unexplored expanse from outer space, but it is to be taken seriously and its fur is shiny.

He really is to be taken very seriously or do you want to end up like me?

Hit yourselves in the head at this point, lean back and sniff again after 15 minutes, then comes the Ganymede Eau de Parfum (DNA) shell...
Perfect as a daily replacement that doesn't cost you the cost of eating your foals out of onionskin!
