Quality summer freshie at a bargain price

Really nice & fresh masculine fragrance perfect for hot weather. Pineapple popped in the opening but didn't last long. As it dried down, got the lavender and especially the sandalwood which makes for a very pleasant scent. Longevity is quite good - it was still going strong after 8 hours and sillage is moderate - arm's length for a couple of hours. Available at a bargain price. A very easy fragrance to like.

From what I've read, this is supposed to be a better performing version of D&G Light Blue Intense. I didn't get that resemblance and compared it directly with a sample spray of Light Blue Intense on my wrist. Light Blue strikes me as a true salty aquatic while Ghyoom only has a subtle hint of that. More of a fresh breeze cooled over a large fresh water lake. I've never experienced Megamare, so can't comment on the resemblance.

As I understand, "Ghyoom" means cloud in Arabic. The bottle gives that impression of clouds moving across the water.

No less than sea

Sparkling, a fresh breeze. Green waves with white spray. A light salty hint. Fortunately for me, no blue aquatics, but a subtly iodine-tingling, green-maritime fragrance.

The longevity on my skin is enormous, on clothes almost infinite.

You can't fill halls with these clouds (= ghyoom), and you don't have to. It's enough for me if they float around me in a slightly tingling way.

I'm already looking forward to summer!

When you order Aquaman from Wish...

The fact that the good realization of an aquatic fragrance is obviously already very demanding is shown by the vast number of azure-blue, aquatic marine fragrances that cloud the application area of countless fragrance houses.

Maurice Roucel, the musk god, will have to come first.

The similarity to Megamare always awakens the obligatory feeling in me that most perfumers probably know.
It does resemble it, but of course it doesn't come close enough.

It doesn't have to, it's not such a sillage grenade as the Urgestein.
Nevertheless, its fragrance is really good and doesn't come across as cheaply made.

Cool Water, without cool

It smells like a neutered Cool Water Eau de Toilette. The beautiful, refreshing mintiness paired with the slightly floral rose geranium and jasmine of Cool Water is completely missing from Ghyoom. Instead, it is simply aquatic and salty.
But wait a minute, the top notes are pineapple, blood orange and juniper berry, aren't they? For the life of me, I can't detect anything fruity in the opening either. Sprayed on several times, waited, nothing changes.

The biting saffron makes it strikingly masculine. The moss and the soapy vetiver support this. Is it supposed to be very close to the trendy Megamare? Well then I already know that I'm definitely not going to get it.

But unlike Cool Water, it doesn't need to be sprayed again because it lasts all day. And the bottle is well made and classy, the cap is like a crown, it has something majestic about it.

If you're looking for something linear, non-fruity, aquatic and masculine, you'll be happy here. I don't like it and for me it is and remains a cool water without cool ;-)

Safran puts his acting skills to the test

Overall, opinions on this very inexpensive fragrance are still limited, but there are increasing signs that Zimaya could be closely based on Megamare.

I can't quite understand this comparison, because for me there are very few parallels to be drawn here.
Megamare and its offshoots are dominated in particular by this deep-sea note, packed with salt and an almost irrepressible silage and shelf life.

Here, however, saffron plays tricks on the vast majority.
In fact, it smells salty in some way in this overall composition, given the first moments. For me personally, however, this remains a deception, because on closer inspection, the saffron is quite clear to me here, even if it is perhaps trying to deceive me.

The fruity notes hardly show themselves to me and so this fragrance is much more difficult to describe than one might think.
Roughly speaking, I would say that Ghyoom oscillates somewhere between a green-blue scent where the saffron tests its acting skills.

Given the price, the fragrance can definitely be described as "exciting" and I am already looking forward to hearing more opinions, especially from the very experienced noses here.

Very few people will be bothered by this fragrance, because musk and a hint of sandalwood round off the base really smoothly.

I find it particularly exciting that the fragrance is not really tangible, without it seeming super complex or extremely high-quality.
A sweetish cloud envelops the overall structure, but everything is still within a tolerable range and does not yet seem cheap.
But, especially this is not even close to Megamare, in this respect it drifts off completely here at the latest and can no longer be compared with the Orto Parisi at all.

I maintain that Safran is trying to lead someone up the garden path here.

The shelf life and silage are moderate, but nothing more.
The bottle is heavy and has a high-quality feel, although the lid is less to my taste.
