Red Tobacco?
So i just blind bought this fragrance and never smelled layton from pdm. I was so familiar with this scent already. I don’t know if it’s just me but this really smells like red tobacco for me. I don’t know why but it’s like 80+ percent similar to it it’s just fresher in my opinion without the tobacco. My girlfriend hates red tobacco but really likes this one so it might be just me.

Performance is okay with this one nothing spectacular but i bought it for like 18 euros so nothing to complain

Conclusion: Really nice scent! Fresh spicy and a little bit of sweetness

Beautiful Scent DNA
Hello.
My name is Alex....and I am ...addicted!

Since I don’t need anything or already have everything... this year I treated myself to about 50 fragrance clones as an early Christmas gift.
Good fragrances have been a more or less pronounced and lived passion of mine since my youth.

Since I realized how good the Arabic perfume houses are, I just can't hold back.
Today, I want to talk about the Royal Paragon from Afnan/Zimaya.
The fragrance starts off quite alcohol-heavy... once the alcohol evaporates, a really nice, spicy scent emerges.
The spiciness is underlaid with a bit of sweetness and floral notes, but only subtly, which makes it quite harmonious.
The very delicate scent lasts about 6 hours well noticeable.... and that is completely sufficient for 20.-. At that price, you could even reapply several times a day and still be much cheaper than with Layton.
The bottle is top-notch.
Blue satin glass with a metal cap.

The listed notes are: Bitter almond, bergamot, gardenia - mandarin, orange, rose, guaiac wood - coffee, patchouli, amber, oak moss.

For fans of subtly spicy fragrances, I recommend it.

A great Layton alternative once again
Royal Paragon unmistakably follows the path of a Parfums de Marly Layton. By now, there are already countless alternatives to Layton, but this one is also quite well done. It projects a bit less, lasts not quite as long for me, and is somewhat more masculine.
I feel it’s about 85-90% Layton, with the remaining percentage being a Layton Exclusif.

We also have this super nice apple pie vibe, slightly refreshed, just like in Al Haramain Detour Noir.
However, in my opinion, there is a more intense woody facet, as well as more cardamom included.
Thus, the scent feels a tad less sweet, especially over time. It comes across as a bit "rougher" and more masculine than Detour Noir or the original Layton.

All in all, a really great fragrance, and for this price, you absolutely can't complain.

In my opinion, the scent is unisex wearable, but due to the somewhat more masculine flair, I tend to see Royal Paragon more on a man.

The performance is quite good.
In my opinion, though, it’s a bit weaker than the original or in comparison to Detour Noir.

Sensational
I don't know the original Layton. I got the dupe from Eclat. Then this one. I have to say, I like this one better. To smell this good for so little money is sensational!!
For me, it's clearly a fragrance that I will order again. If this continues with the *copies*, the big brands will have to come up with something. Great fragrance for little money.

Elegant Men's Fragrance
Great, masculine, finely spicy scent. In my opinion, it's wearable in every season and for any occasion. I find the bottle well-designed with a heavy plastic cap and a great spray head. The price/performance ratio is simply unbeatable here. I always have it as a backup. The 8.3 rating is justified. Longevity is okay for the price; I just refresh it more often to let the scent come alive again.

Layton and a hint of the mature masculine Layton Exclusiv describe the scent quite well.

..and once again a Layton alternative. But it’s really well done! For me, it’s about 85-90% Layton and the rest a Layton Exclusif.

Trono > Dusk > Détour Noir >= Royal Paragon.
Paragon is very soft (pleasant) with the worst sillage.

Fine-spicy, gourmand woodiness, vanilla + cinnamon spice. Unfortunately, hardly any apple or pastry notes, rather flat, monotonous. Gentlemen 100%

A darker and less synthetic alternative to Detour Noir..
But it somehow lacks the baked apple note that makes Layton so special.

Another Layton dupe, whether you need it is debatable.
H/S is a bit weaker in comparison, but it doesn't smell bad.

Similar to Detour Noir
with a twist, as if a bit of fabric softener was added to the familiar DNA.

Smells like apple pie to me, I love layering it with Oud for Glory by Lattafa.
