A Big Rose Fragrance
I can't explain my attraction to Sublime Rose !

It's quintessential when it comes to rose scents, and I have some of the comparable big and rosy scents such as ( Chloé (2007) Eau de Parfum , Eau Rose Eau de Toilette ) before I was introduce to Sublime Rose
Nevertheless, I couldn't stop thinking about it after I received a sample.

Sublime Rose has a certain strength to it that you may not associate with rose, floral scents. After applying it, it embodies big-ness, creating a powerful, sophisticated scent cloud.
It's definitely a dominant full body fragrance in the way Chloé (2007) Eau de Parfum can be.

These rose fragrance should not ...and can not be dismiss! - Because they are a great projection of strength during the summer seasons.

Sometime explanations are not needed. Sublime Rose is just worthy of my attention.

P.S: Speaking of comparable, the big-ness in Sublime Rose is closest to the big-ness ( of rose) in a candle from 'The Harlem Candle Company' call 'Love' which I always smell from( and not 'in')..the closet where it is stored!

A Beautifully Composed Undercurrent
I experience Tropique a year before I brought it, on tester strip.

I had other tester strip of other ( knockout ) fragrance I experience that day Vermeil (2021) , The Purple Bar , Néroli Eau Parfumée , Fleur de Figuier Eau Fraîche . All of them went on my wish list, one or two I picked up.

Tropique , I didn't expect too much,
but I kept going back to the strip, conjuring ownership of this one!

It first attracted me with it's sweetness. Would I say it was a tropical sweetness? - No, not really.
However, it is a nice rendition of fruit pulp, maybe from the tropics.

The surprise came when I finally purchased it. There was more going on than Fruit pulp! Upon spraying it on my skin, there was a burst of tart fruit( ...what fruit?! I can't really tell. Peach, Grapefruit??) ,,,but then the surprise came from a prominent, identifiable rose note that lingers throughout but then settles into the overall sweetness of this fragrance

Tropique is just a well compose, structural fragrance. I should always remember this one, as I debuted it during a protest in The United States ('No Kings'), but also because it is just a dynamic fragrance!
...and all for less than $30.00!

A Decent Resinous Fragrance
Avant Garde is certainly a wonderfully compose scent.

It is a deep and resinous, spiced affair.

The cinnamon is so dominant here, it could be consider a decent suggestion for a good cinnamon fragrance.
However the tobacco is noticeable, and something either incense-y or oud-ish.

The first few fragrances that popped into my mind when I smelt this was ... Santal Royal Eau de Parfum or L'Autre Ôud
( P.S: actually, it prompted me to wear Santal Royal Eau de Parfum after I received it). However with Avant Garde there is the absence of flowers(rose) unlike the other scents.

This is certainly a nice alternative to those more expensive resinous affairs ( like Grand Soir , and yeah ! ..it's got those vibes). Though it could be noted that this, -in itself, is pricey! --for a Comptoir Sud Pacifique

Yet, you can tell a lot of effort was put into creating this. Job well done, Comptoir Sud Pacifique. Job well done.

Tropical and Quintessentially Comptoir Sud Pacifique
Carte Blanche is a typical scent for this brand.

I associate coconut and vanilla with Comptoir Sud P. and for some reason I feel as if these notes are a part of Carte Blanche. ( though nowhere are they listed)

I almost get a pina colada tone, which made me compare it to Soleil de Feu

However, on my skin the frankincense and leather are more pronounce., so then Lalibela Eau de Parfum popped into my mind.

This one, Carte Blanche out of the two I got( ...the other being Avant Garde ), ---is more in line with the theme of Comptoir Sud Pacifique.

As that I only have a sample of Carte Blanche ,
I wouldn't mind investing in this for the tropical, couture pina colada vide it is projecting.

It's Good Stuff

Add-On: As the day wears on, it moved from Soleil de Feu to what I remember of Tuscan Leather Eau de Parfum

Festive Season Incense Vibes
As it has been noted,
Eucalyptus 20 is a dominant incense fragrance.

...and that seems to be primary throughout it's wear.

The first thing that popped into my mind when I applied this, was The Year's End Festive Season.
This smell like The Festive Season; -the regality of The Festive Season.

So there is a definite green aspect to it. Pine , Eucalyptus, something?? ..but the mix with incense gives it such warmth...that is ..well...festive.

This was release right around the vicinity of Black Lacquer and Hinoki & Cedarwood, which led to sharing marketing space with them (well, in my mind) and also upon my own discovery of Infinitoud.
They all have that throughline of burning incense/frankincense!
Also, when I smelt Eucalyptus 20 on my skin, comparison to Fille en aiguilles automatically started.

Nevertheless , I'm putting this on my imaginary wish list and imagine myself wearing this during the festive season.

Good Stuff.
