Amouage

5% tuberose and 95% super-ambers, ethyl vanillin, and ethyl maltol. Class-leading projection and persistence at the expense of elegance.

A lot of hype to smell like a dryer sheet.

A couple hours of loud bubblegum tuberose, then a soapy skin scent.

Opens with ambrocenide, white flowers, and bubblegum tuberose. Dry-down super-amber and ethyl maltol. An auspiciously named snooze.

WTH is a "cologne de parfum?" Can we just stop with perfume companies coming up with gibberish names for concentrations?

Begins as gorgeous iris. Unisex. Dries down warm vanilla. Poor performance (2-3 hrs light projection), as with seemingly all iris scents.

This smells like a coumarin overdose more than actual cinnamon. Throw some ethyl maltol and coumarin into some alcohol and save $300.

It’s carrots. Two hours in, and it’s carrots. Still awaiting the great iris.

I loved this thirty years ago in high school. But now it's is a synthetic mess. Have they ruined it or is my olfactory memory too kind?
