At the beginning, I could strongly smell bergamot and oranges. They provide a fresh tea-like scent, which also gives this a modern touch and preventing it from leaning too mature. I was then becoming quiet hopeful of this perfume, as I'm not the biggest fan of white-florals, and in turn was apprehensive with this one.

The tea-like note actually stayed for some time, probably 2+ hours? But oh nooo, as time passes, I can also smell the orange-blossom getting stronger and stronger. It is becoming floral, sweeter, slightly indolic, and is giving me a headache!

If you are into neroli or orange-blossoms, or white-florals in general, give this one a sniff.
Or, if you like Le Parfum Eau de Parfum or For Her Eau de Toilette, then I think you might also like this.

This one (in my opinion) is the younger, modern, more casual take of those classic white-floral perfumes. It lasts for 6+ hours on my skin, whereas a full day on clothes and paper strip. But it does have a softer sillage/projection.
So objectively, I think it is a great scent and of great quality. But it is just not for me.

I find that Sonic Flower is full of contradictory elements. Somehow it is both dusty and fresh. It feels dry and yet also aquatic.

When I wear it, I feel like I've just come out of the shower. My hair is still wet and it smells like the fruity-floral shampoo I used. Then I put on a linen dress. The dress smells slightly woody because it is stored in my wooden closet. Some sawdust particles got onto the dress.

I think the sawdust-like note comes from the carrot seeds and orris root. However, jasmine, ambroxan and musk prevent it from becoming too dusty. They give Sonic Flower a certain creaminess. I don't think I've ever smelled anything quite like it. Maybe Mojave Ghost Eau de Parfum? They both have the same dustiness, fruitiness and freshness (but they don't smell the same).

It has a low sillage, stays close to the skin. That doesn't bother me at all. But I wish it lasted longer. I can barely smell it after 2 hours, even if I spray it on my clothes. I asked friends and they agreed, so it's definitely not because I've developed anosmia to it.

I don't think it smells like You Eau de Parfum (You doesn't have the aquatic and creamy note of Sonic Flower ). I also don't think it smells like Fleur de Peau Eau de Parfum (Fleur de Peau is much drier and dustier).

I tried Mojave Ghost Eau de Parfum and although it smells heavenly to me, the scent faded after 2 hours. I guess it lives up to its name. Like a ghost. And at this price, I just can't justify buying it. Besides, my craving for this dusty, fruity iris scent was then fulfilled by Sonic Flower (which unfortunately also has minimal longevity).

But I still sometimes had to think of Mojave Ghost Eau de Parfum. And wished it had a better H/S. So when I saw that Byredo had released an Absolu de Parfum version, I was curious. I read reviews online and saw that the majority of people preferred the new version. Many said that it has a much better H/S than the original. And I can confirm that.

Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum is 90% identical to the OG Mojave Ghost Eau de Parfum. Powdery, dusty, woody and fruity. But here the fruitiness and woodiness are even stronger.

In the first 2 hours, I can't really tell the difference between this one and the original. Dustiness from the iris and ambrette, as transparent as a veil. With splashes of foamy, fruity shampoo. In the drydown, Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum becomes more fruity and woody. I can clearly recognize the cedar wood in the drydown. The iris ambrette veil has almost disappeared, but it is still there and lingers only slightly.

The H/S of this Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum and the OG Mojave Ghost Eau de Parfum are like night and day. Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum has a loud sillage and lasts forever on my winter coat. My wardrobe smells like Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum for a few weeks.

This time the ghost won't go away! You have to be careful when you spray this on! Otherwise you might need an exorcism hahaha. I can definitely say that I'm very happy to have Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum in my collection, and it's here to stay.

One of the aspects I enjoy when painting is the smell of the stretcher frame. The stretcher frames I often use are made of softwood (usually pine). The smell of these woods is just so beautiful... Dry, creamy, fresh and woody. Milky Musk/39 smells exactly like this!

I don't know why many people here have rated H/S so poorly. Because my experience with it is the exact opposite!
I think people just get anosmic when they wear it. But trust me, it lasts for weeks on clothes! And has nuclear sillage. It's very deceptive.

I have to say that Milky Musk/39 smells nothing like Santal 33 Perfume Oil!!!
It smells a bit like Sunny Side Up, Nothing but Sea and Sky, Lethe, and You Doux.

The fragrance is very simple. It does not develop. What you smell at the beginning stays that way later. But I think that's the charm. It's very reliable. I can wear it anytime, anywhere. Milky Musk/39 will definitely stay in my collection forever!

My mamak's (grandma's) house was made of wood. From the floor to the walls, everything was made of wood. That was very common in Borneo, especially if you didn't have much money. A house made of concrete meant you were wealthy!

Everything in the house was also made of wood. It created this woody, dusty yet cozy smell in the house. In the evening, after the afternoon rain, I slept on the mattress on the wooden floor. I could smell the wood, the rain. I loved staying with Mamak.

You Doux gave me that familiar feeling. That familiar smell. Woody, creamy and warm from the Palo Santo. If you've smelled dry Palo Santo before, then you know the smell.
Sometimes I also smelled a hint of violet. Maybe some people perceive this as the cucumber or gherkin smell that is found in Santal 33. But to me, they don't smell similar at all! Here, the violet just adds something spicy and perhaps dusty. It made me feel like I was smelling old wooden furniture.

I particularly like wearing it around the house. I can actually still smell it after over 6 hours. Although it stays close to the skin. One of my cats is crazy about this scent. He won't leave me alone and won't stop cuddling with me when I wear this hahaha.
