Too bad, I love Greece and the majority of Greek life and everything around it.
So I thought I might like Philosykos, as I plunder every fig tree in the Peloponnese.

But unfortunately, unfortunately, I don't smell the beautiful nuance of "Philosykos (Eau de Parfum) | Diptyque" that a fig tree radiates, but rather the opposite.
Unfortunately, we had to cut down our old, huge fig tree a few years ago and it is exactly this smell that comes back as soon as I smell it on my wrist. Fresh, green cut wood, my heart bleeds.

I don't think Philosykos is bad per se, but I don't want to smell like it.
There is a hint of sweetness from time to time, but it's really tiny.

Otherwise, I find this perfume rather... meaningless and interchangeable.
Shelf life well, after two or three hours the fragrance is really only very close to the body, silage also not very special. Some of my body lotions smell more intense.
Too bad!

Me and my skin are at war when it comes to certain things.
Although I was spared pimples and acne from the age of 12, we still won't be friends.
Reason: Many a beautiful fragrance stinks on my skin.
Yes, it stinks.
"Libre (Eau de Parfum) | Yves Saint Laurent" smells like cat pee on me, "Versace pour Femme Dylan Blue | Versace" smells like after sport and before a shower, just to name two fragrances.

That's why I was very pessimistic when I bought a few bottlings, including "Imagination | Louis Vuitton", from a dear user here via Souk.
But hey, maybe a fragrance worth 280 euros stinks less on me.

And what can I say? Now I'm at war with my wallet, thank you, Louis Vuitton.
Because imagination smells(!) nice on me!

"Imagination | Louis Vuitton" is simple on me, not versatile, doesn't change much, and I like that.
When I spray it on, it immediately hits me with a full load of bergamot and a little ginger.
However, the Chinese black tea indicated in the pyramid brings the fragrance back a little from the shower gel association, rounding off the fresh notes somewhat.
Somehow there is also a hint of cinnamon, I think, which also ensures that the fragrance is not quite masculine. Also a plus point!

Imagination smells like a vacation to me.
You know when you come out of the sea on a far too hot summer's day and the water dries on your skin immediately?
That's what imagination smells like.
Warm, fresh, as contradictory as that is.
Like a fresh cocktail with lots of lemon on a far too hot day in the bath.
It even seems a little powdery to me.

Nevertheless, I think that Imagination is not just a summer fragrance. Today I'm wearing it at work when it's -3 degrees and, as of 13:00, I've received more compliments for the fragrance than for others in the previous weeks.

I was afraid that this freshness would get on my nerves, but it was unfounded. Because the freshness is not too overpowering, so in my opinion this is a wonderful year-round all-rounder.

Hats off, Louis Vuitton, no cat pee, no sweat, I'm thrilled!

This was actually my first picture purchase.
This is because I really overestimate myself when it comes to imagining fragrances.
But here, too, my head has definitely tricked me:

The comments and reviews always mention lemon cake. Bergamot is at the top of the pyramid, I can't really stand jasmine and lavender... yes, I like lavender.

My order arrived today, first of all: how beautiful is the packaging and the bottle?
Then the first spritz.

I was full of expectation. I thought "Let's try my new freshie for the summer, it's definitely too cold for fresh things now."

And what was it?
Nothing, nothing fresh.

And I was totally happy about it. I smell lavender, I smell caramel, maybe a splash of citrus, but that's it.
Oh how lovely, I think to myself, this really is a year-round all-rounder!

Do you happen to know the "Twilight" bath ball from Lush? That's the scent twin for me. (Hm, what kind of weird skin do I have that the lemon cake scent smells like lavender on me? Never mind, the main thing is nice!)

Good thing I trusted the blind buy.

I came across Lush many years ago, I don't even remember how.
My nearest store is almost 200km away, so a visit has to be well thought out.

Somehow I'm the only one in my circle of family and friends who loves the scent of these stores. You enter and are literally overwhelmed by impressions of all kinds, colorful, shrill, kitschy and yet so beautiful.

I first got to know American Cream as a conditioner. Unfortunately, it didn't stand a chance with my unruly hair, but I always bought a small bottle just for the smell. (And yes, maybe I used to apply it all over my body in the shower, no conditioner-shaming please! :D)

Still, 200km or ordering blind, generally not an option for me at these prices. That's why the Lush empire and I parted ways.
And then there was a Boxing Day sale.

I'll never forget how the letter carrier stood in front of my door and said "Whatever this is, I want it too, it smells incredible. I would have preferred not to deliver the parcel at all and leave it in my car."

Between what felt like 400 bath balls and bubble baths, the bottle of American Cream also emerged.
One spray and I have to smile.

For me, this perfume is cuddly in liquid form.
How incredibly warm, soft and beautiful.
For me, the strawberry only comes through slightly, I mainly smell vanilla, and it stays forever.
Nevertheless, although I mainly perceive vanilla, this fragrance is somehow versatile and yet beautiful in its simplicity.

Imagine you are sitting in America, somewhere in a small town, almost a village.
There's not much there, a few stores here and there, a gas station and a diner.
The souls of the village gather there, and you sit in the middle of it all.
You see a young couple sitting at one of the niche tables, newly in love and giggling and whispering.
The two of them order a huge milkshake, as the portions are big enough.
The whipped cream piles up on top, with every sip from the straw you have a blob of it on your nose.

That's what American cream smells like to me.
Kitschy, amorous, carefree and romantic.


The longevity of this perfume is gigantic in my eyes, sprayed on in the morning I can still clearly smell the vanilla late at night.
Sillage is nice, I am always asked about my "sugar scent".
For me, a clear buy recommendation for all those who like vanilla, but for whom vanilla is not enough. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio is absolutely fair and American Cream is and will remain a firm favorite with me.

I have some time ago blind ordered some samples of Alexandre.J, including Rose Alba. At that time once tried and the rest from the sample bottle guarded, to always have what to sniff.
In the course of a discount action, a 100ml bottle was now allowed to move in.

Already here begins the luxury: a salty box in a beautiful red, in it is a - one must really say - casket in just that color. If you open this, the charming and decadent bottle appears. Among all the fragrances, which I own, this is definitely the most beautiful packaging!

But now to the essentials:
For me, this fragrance is unique. As if you are in the midst of the noblest and most intense roses. The first spray, however, is a bit fresher, also the plum comes through very clearly, also a bit of peach greets me.
After a few minutes, however, the rose comes in. And it stays. For a long time. LONG.
If I had to draw a picture to go with this scent, it would be a sun-drenched bedroom, with light pink linens, a white four-poster bed, and fluffy carpet at the foot of it. Through a large window, you can see into an enchanting rose garden, where roses of all colors and sizes grow.
The durability is definitely above average, today at noon I have two spritzes, once on the back of the hand, once on the neck, applied, and even now, 9 hours and a shower later, Rose Alba can still be guessed.

For me, it is - discreetly held - also an everyday fragrance, but can quickly become too intrusive due to the bomb sillage and durability.
A very elegant, soft, velvety fragrance.
