im from chile and i came here looking for an alternative to fragrantica. the community here looks awesome so im hoping to make some friends and of course learn more about perfumery!!

some things about me: im a university student studying archeology, ive been into perfumery for a little over a year now and i loveee listening to music. im always looking for new experiences and i feel like perfumery is simply the perfect hobby for that. cheers!

if there was a parfumerie à la Zoologist called Archaelogist, what kind of fragrances would they make? food for thought...

I'm from the Netherlands and (probably one of the oldest members in age here) a 'retired' nurse for people with a very serious intellectual disability with additional mental disorders... Perfume has been a real passion of mine for about 45 years now.... During the last 20 years in particular, a lot has changed in the perfume-community, especially due to the rise of the internet and... social media. In the past, it were small-scale fairs where you almost always encountered the same visitors and sellers, now the entire perfume industry is actually focused on the internet. The rise of the so-called influencers and the decline of the real passion made its entrance. I have always tried to be true to my own values when it comes to a passion like perfumes. My other hobbies are cooking, arranging flowers, music and my 4 cats.

Hello,

My name is Petar (Peter). I’m from Montenegro.

My native language is Serbian, so I apologize in advance for my English, it’s not perfect🙂

I am a MD, and I am currently in Germany.
Perfumes have been my hobby for almost 9 years. I love medicine(my profession), fashion, travel, but also Christian Orthodoxy.

I am here, like everyone else, because of perfumes, which are my great passion. I love French perfumery the most, while I love Italian clothing.
I think Parfumo is a great website for perfumes.

Hiii I'm Mina from the Netherlands. I came from fragrantica but like the site interface and rating system here a lot more. I recently got back into perfume because I found that it's a very calming sensory experience for me! I'm excited to broaden my horizons 😊

Hello friends!

My name is Zak, I am from the United States.

I have been obsessed with fragrances since I was a kid and would sneak into my grandma's room to spray one of her many bottles. She was the one who really launched and nurtured my love for the art of perfumery.

In real life, I work in the beauty industry, and write reviews and retrospectives on fragrances on my blog. In between that, I enjoy painting watercolors (many of them of perfume bottles), writing short stories, and finding ways to be creative.

I look forward to meeting and interacting with all of you more and being a part of a community that also shares my obsession!

My Name Is Cain
Ex Dancer/Model.
Now Artist.
from London England
Age 43

I have only ever worn woman's fragrances (& I'm not gay haha) I have done this since 1996 when I was just 14 years of age when I first became a dancer. I looked about 21 when I was 14 so I got away with a lot. I was 6ft 1 too, I didn’t grow after that however, I am still 6ft 1 haha.
My first fragrance was - Organza By Givenchy, it was given to me as a gift in 1996 (when it was just launched) by a lady who helped me at the time when I ran away from home.

I consistently much prefer perfumes produced prior to 2000, however I do like a few modern perfumes, especially from Goutal.. Étoile d'Une Nuit, Tenue de Soiree & Un Matin d'Orage to name a few. I quite like Roberto Cavalli By Roberto Cavalli (2012) & Ange ou Demon By Givenchy too.

My 15 all time favourite perfumes in order -

1 Vendetta By Valentino
2 Escada Margaretha Ley by Escada
3 Organza By Givenchy
4 Amarige By Givenchy
5 Samsara By Guerlain
6 Boucheron By Boucheron
7 Ysatis By Givenchy
8 Carolina Herrera by Carolina Herrera
9 Fragile by Jean Paul Gaultier
10 24 Faubourg by Hermès
11 Dolce & Gabbana by Dolce & Gabbana
12 Étoile d'Une Nuit By Goutal
13 Tenue De Soirée By Goutal
14 L'eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake
15 Un Matin d'Orage By Goutal

That will give you an idea of what I like 😉

I have a lot of rare discontinued perfumes in my collection, i had over 500 bottles at one time when i was modelling (I quit modelling in 2009) so i still have a lot of discontinued vintage ones left. I upload photos of them on my profile too, feel free to have a look or even message me to discuss them with me Smile

Hi y’all! Angela here, originally from Hungary, currently living in Slovakia. 54 yo in 2025. Perfume lover since I was 15 years old, but the money to buy, what I want came later. Smile  (You know: kids first, etc 🙂)

I tend to be narrow minded when trying a sample, so to broaden my horizon, I changed my ways: I am an eager blind buyer lately: I check the pyramid of the scent, buy it, then try to make them work for me.
I myself am somewhat shy, but I do not like shy scents, the contrary: all the heavy duty statement or striking scents for me! (Hello Saffron hamra, and Oud ulya!)

I’m Chase. I’m 27 years old and based in the United States.

Growing up, I’ve always enjoyed art, makeup, costumes, and theater. Getting interested in perfume as a hobby just felt inevitable! I’m a goth at heart and my favorite perfumes always have a little edge to them.

I’m also planning on going to grad school to get my Masters so I can be a librarian!

Hi,

I'm from the United States and recently got into fragrances. Long story short (long story was a blog post), I used to taste bourbon and broke down notes in that. I quit drinking for now but missed the dedicated time to spend time with something and challenge myself to get notes and really examine something. Then came this hobby. The transfer was pretty seamless.

I work overnights, so when I am off, I'll often times take different samples and spray one on each wrist and just spend time with each. Crazy? Maybe, but I love examining what these scents bring. Sniffing two different scents brings out the smells so much more I think when I really want to sit and work my senses. My bottles are meant for work, samples are meant for off nights. HAHA

I have only been "collecting" for a few short months, but I very quickly found that I am, for lack of a better term, an old soul and dove into the deep end with the more old school-vintage styled fragrances out there (not the actual bottles from decades ago - just the brands that lean into making scents like those). I plan on exploring more. Currently on a Chypre kick.

Anyways, I found this place and it seems super cool and hope to be a good contributor. I love reading the content that is already here.
