Hello! I've seen a lot of unique usernames among Parfumo users - if you feel comfortable sharing, where did your username come from or what inspired you to choose it?
Mine is obvious: I enjoy gourmands, and there was already another "GourmandGirl" in the user base - so I chose the next-closest thing. ๐
Hello! Here's my story:
My brother became a fraghead about a year ago. A few months later, he was in the hospital for surgery and his fellow fraghead friend brought him a ton of samples to cheer him up. Being clueless in that sector, I thought I would turn to the celebrities I know best, for a place to start: K-pop idols. I sifted through idol endorsements and started asking my brother how he would rank the scents. The problem was that he hadn't tried all of them. So one afternoon, I wandered around the ritziest avenue in my region and tried to get as many free samples as I could, from the fragrances he didn't know. He had no idea you could just ask for them. He was stunned. And I had just gotten a new pastime.
So, yeah. "Samples" because I like collecting them, and "Noona" because it's a Korean honorific used by a man/boy to refer to his older sister.
My surname is Tzafos and my first name is Panos. So from these two I cut the first syllables and became Tzapan for Parfumo.

My late father used to say I looked like Eva Peron (don't cry for me Argentina), so I became Evita (and it's rather close from my real first name).
The second part should have been Villanova, but there was no room enough for "Nova". And it's the city where I live translated in a sort of Italian/Spanish to match with Evita (and to sound from Argentina).
EvitaVillanova is my usual user name for forums or games.

Oh I did something similar! I took the first 2 letters of my name, my first surname and second surname. That's all hahah
I wanted to use my handle for Instagram, heavyonthehombre, where I also post my fragrance reviews, but it was too long for Parfumo. So I had to go with my old username I used to use in high school, which is a play on the word "omnipotent."

@LouBe kind of neat there's a fragrance with your nickname on it - have you ever tested Loulou Eau de Parfum, or any of the flankers/reformulations? Now I'm curious about finding one with my name, too!

@Gourmandgrl, I'm still in the field but just on the business side of things now. I mostly try to engage with that passion by living vicariously through others now but eventually I'd like to start up a little garage shop and just work on whatever I want!

It's the name of one of my favorite albums (Depeche Mode's Exciter) and the year I was born. I've used this username since the MySpace days and I'm too lazy to change it.
@Exciter76 I get that - once you find something that works, it's easier to stick with it!
Parfumo's profile customization actually reminds me of the MySpace days, which I love!
All we're missing is the ability to have a song play when someone visits your page. (I don't think we need the "Top 8" drama any longer.) ๐
I just use this same in different pages and platforms, sometimes added with more detailed "info" like _perfumes or _fitness. Somehow I'm thinking it's logical and it's easy to check as well for example that the person behind the pictures is same and those are not stolen and person behind the reviews is same - those are not copied.
What a fun thread, it's so interesting to hear the origins of everybody's usernames! ๐คฉ๐ My username means "love" in old Finnish language, also it's my second name and my grandmother's name. I've actually been thinking to change Lempi as my official first name too, I'm probably doing that at the same time when my last name will be changing most likely later this year. ๐
Love this thread! Originally my name was for a now defunct musician fan forum but I've carried it around the internet for a few years. At the time I came up with it I was super into the mermaid aesthetic. The soup portion came from a username idea generator, I thought the image of a soup made of mermaids was amusing, so here we are lol

I was originally going for Raindrops-on-roses, but that was too long. 
Two reasons:
1. The Sound of Music has been my favorite movie since I was about 6 years old.
2. I'm a gardener in the rainy PNW.
Oh, I'm a bit late for the party ๐, but my username comes from my favourite animal ( as in the picture of my avatar). In Dutch this animal is called Ringstaartmaki, so Ringtale ( staart is 'tale' in English) seemed a good name ๐'
