Where's My Mango?
I went into this one hoping for a mango bomb, but instead, I was hit with something oddly familiar, and I finally placed it: Montblanc Explorer. Midnight Hour smells about 90% the same, just with less aggressive citrus up top. That also means it shares the same synthetic edge and lackluster blending.
That said, for $20 at Burlington, it’s hard to be overly critical. The value is there, even if the craftsmanship isn’t.
The projection is genuinely impressive. I almost wish I enjoyed the scent more just so I could wear it proudly and make use of that sillage.
Many have compared this to Mind Games Blockade, and while I haven’t smelled that one myself, I’d be disappointed if this is what it turned out to be. Overall, a solid budget-friendly pickup if you like Aventus-style scents, but nothing new.
