Heavier Acqua Fiorentina
Edited:
The part of the [...] will contain a review about a journey in the world of counterfeits, where you think you will get a good perfume, and instead of it you are misleaded for your money.
After testing the REAL Acqua Fiorentina - The Encore, it is clear, that the fragrance is a bit heavier and smoother than the original A.F., but still wonderful - actually I will buy a bottle very soon. I miss a bit the lemon from the composition, but apple compensates for everything. Encore is less aquatic. Good choice for work, daily wear, outing. It fits to younger people well, and it would be a shame to exclude gentlemen from the pleasure of wearing A.F. - The Encore.
[...]
I knew Acqua Fiorentina, I ordered Acqua Fiorentina, and I got The Encore instead. The first blow was quite shocking. I was assuming a light, aquatic and cheerful fragrance, and got an attack. I could not feel anything else but airy pepper killing my olfactory organs. I was waiting and praying for be eased. The Encore was ruthless. Longetivity is extremely good, sillage is even better than 100% - you can feel it from 2 meters after 6-7 hours. After more than 2 hours it changed a bit, turned out to be a gourmand perfume. Gourmand, but not on the cookies-candied fruits line. It literally smelled like fried onions! It took a very long time to identify this odor :D

I am not quite sure, that the version what I tested was not rotten, for as much I would not like to hurt people who like The Encore, let's say, that I had bad experience with it because it was maybe expired or I am hypersensitive to a note in this parfume.

really?
Hybrid vigor
In any hybrid you're looking for the best of both worlds. I have a labradoodle, a dod bred for service. The goal of the breeding is to combine the intelligence and trainability of the poodle with the human affiliation and low-key temperament of the labradors retriever. The risk of the mix is getting the reverse and having a high-strung, stupid dog.
The eponymous perfume hybrids shout their goal to the heavens: Fruity floral. Rose chypre. Floral leather. Aromatic fougère. Floriental. Acqua Fiorentina makes me wonder if there is an antonym to synergy. Is there a word for the whole being less than the sum of the parts?

Tools for self-destruction
The disparity between the reality of the worse Creed perfumes and the particularly vapid style of their marketing hyperbole is a sort of performance piece. The inequality is charged enough that as in a fairy tale, it simply comes to life.

From the Creed Aqua Fiorentina webpage (version, The Encore 2012):

Description - Sixth-generation master perfumer Olivier Creed re-introduces a fresh new blend of the beloved fragrance. He adds a lively touch of Diamond Jubilee Apple to mark sixty years of Queen Elizabeth's reign, along with beautiful Renaissance rose, Calabrian lemon, plum and white carnation. This encore offers a fresh harmonious scent that will delight her for any occasion.

Classification - Fruitful / Fresh

Characteristics - A long-awaited scent richly deserved by Creed’s loyal clientele who lavished praise on the original blend.

Notes:
Top note: Lightly sweet greengage plum, often used in cuisine as a dessert plum, Diamond Jubilee Apples and pruneau are the opening notes.
Middle note: Renaissance roses, white carnations, Florentine pear, Sicilian bergamot and Calabrian lemons are a fine serenade of fruits and blooms.
Base note: Virginia cedar and Indian sandalwood are a heart-charming close, with a lively hint of white grapefruit.

Epilogue:
Creed's own excessive protestations tell you more about the nightmare of Acqua Fiorentina than I could ever hope to.

I used to think the greatest job in the world would be to be a voice actor for the Simpsons. 20+ years of Hollywood pay coupled with anonymity. What could be better? Now I think sitting around with friends, smoking piles of weed, writing Creed press and pissing yourself laughing would be the greatest job in the world. (I assume that that's how the job must be done.)

I leave you to the serenade of fruits and blooms. Buon appetito.

Classic and feminine
Acqua Fiorentina is a very sophisticated, fresh and delicate fruity floral fragrance.
I perceive a sweet, crisp apple, made even juicier by the plum and refreshed by full, citrusy scents, not too sour.
It is beautiful, appropriate for a soapy woman, whom I see immersed in the countryside barefoot.
Because yes, here we celebrate in an exclusive style typical of the Maison, that which is the simplicity of beautiful things.
I perceive very slight vintage touches that bring my olfactory memory back to the typically feminine fragrances of a few years ago, but with a touch of modernity.
Medium performance and sillage, good for warmer seasons, perhaps during the day.

Happy and youthful
The design of the bottle gave me a mature vibe but it's actually pretty youthful and bright. Someone described it as fresh fruit in water and that's the experience I had; I get a lot of bergamot with apple, roses and I also smell watermelon. It smells like a lemon water with rose petals and some watermelon slices to me, very fresh and summery. I like it but don't love it and wish the performance was better. Others will definitely smell you IF you overspray, but it does not last long on the skin.

Peaches at a Market in Italy
This comment is an exception, as it arises less from my own initiative and more from a request to dedicate a comment to Acqua Fiorentina, which is in my collection.
I had not done so until now because Acqua Fiorentina has little development.
What I have to say seemed too much for a statement but too little for a full comment.
In this respect, the request for a comment was a welcome opportunity for me to wear Acqua Fiorentina a few times in the last weeks and see if perhaps a bit more could be said about it.

Little development, not enough for a comment, sounds as if we are dealing with a rather boring or even cheap-smelling fragrance. But that would be a misconception that could not be greater.
With Acqua Fiorentina, it is not the development that is essential, but the brilliance, the radiance, and the immediate joy that the fragrance evokes. And I immediately suspect that there must be benzyl salicylate in it. I know this feeling: this sense of immediate joy and brilliance, as if I were bathed in divine light, comes from this substance for me. Here, it is obviously hidden behind the term "garden clove."
Otherwise, apart from the citrus fruits, I recognize nothing from the pyramid.
From the very first spray, I dive into an atmosphere of fruity freshness, with peach in my nose, accompanied by a hint of citrus.
Do you know that wonderful feeling when you hold your nose close to a peach picked that very morning, bought at a market in Italy? That velvety feeling of the peach's skin on your own? That fresh, slightly sweet scent that gives a hint of how the fruity, sweet, and yet slightly tart juice of this delicious, ripe fruit will taste?
This is how Acqua Fiorentina smells: velvety peach with a touch of citrus, incredibly brilliant, completely natural, light and airy, yet with an impressive fullness.

And so it remains. For the most part, anyway. The citrus aspect recedes a bit over time, the velvety quality becomes somewhat creamy in the end, and of course, the fragrance gradually becomes a bit weaker. But nothing new is added. It remains a fresh peach for seven or eight hours. Fortunately.

Caution: Similar to Ambroxan and Iso-E Super, there are also many people with anosmia to benzyl salicylate. So don’t be surprised if you perceive the fragrance differently.

The floral freshness is unparalleled. Generous spritzing recommended.

Bergamot-forward, vegetal, slightly bitter. Mellows into bright, clean, soapy, herby citrus. Hint of parsley.

Soapy and fruity, reminiscent of my childhood shower gel. The soapiness later dries off into a more floral profile.
