Babushka’s Headscarf
From a first sniff, this is a smooth, warm, citrusy fragrance. This is what a worn in, sweaty, orange head scarf would smell like if worn by a classy Babushka. It hits like a lot of medicinal fragrances do, right at the top of the throat. It’s that same runny and prickly feeling you get when drinking cough medicine, just dried down with orange notes.
The orange notes themselves are very dry, it reminds me more of orange peel than, say, orange marmalade. It doesn’t have that sticky, syrupy quality to it.
Primarily formulated for the cold winters, this scent warms you from the inside the way a shot of vodka or cough medicine would.
The longevity was greatly disappointing. Such an in-your-face fragrance should at least be able to stick.
Furry and prickly, Elvira’s Sexy Witch is indeed a fragrance for a sexy witch! Cuddly and intimate, with the right stir of spice.
As most Demeter fragrances, although it is a great scent and sits amazing on the skin, the longevity is what kills this for me. And as most Demeter fragrances, it’s another small, fun concept worth your money.
Such a nostalgic fragrance for me. I used to wear this for my utterly miserable night class I had last Autumn, and this smell goes hand in hand with an itchy orange sweater and Here’s Where The Story Ends by The Sundays through a pair of half broken earbuds.
